Do you suppose that if agenda driven news anchors reported the news evenhandedly that they would be less worried about their safety when they went out west? Should New Yorkers by trying to change Montana? Should Tom just stay in New York where he feels safe among his peer group?

I live not very far from there and I am tired of liberals moving in and changing the political landscape. I live in Jackson Hole and I have started calling it Berkley of the Rockies in my local newspaper articles and letters to the editor. What used to be billed as the "Best of the Old West" is no more. If I was Tom or Ted I'd be worried about arrows also!

This is one of many reasons why Montanans are so sensitive to land purchases by out-of-state people. Aside from the factors that you mention, outsiders often aren't aware of the economic consequences of their purchases. Whitefish is rapidly becoming "the next Jackson Hole", making it impossible for native Montanans to afford a home on local wages, and complaining about the lack of government services, which have kept taxes reasonable. Not to mention bringing ecofascism and animism...
