In Florida, 30% of registered voters said they already had cast their ballots, using early voting sites and absentee ballots. They supported Kerry 51%-43%

Hey, people of Florida, this may or may not be true. In any case, go vote!!! We need this state
I doubt this story.
Gallup Ping
FReepmail me if you want to be on or off the list.
Don't doubt the story. Belive it and go vote.
Me too--another story--CBS I think--says just the opposite. So they balance out.
You pays your money and you takes your choice.
I don't tout our numbers nationally showing we win the early vote any more than I take that number seriously.
They couldn't wait to vent their spleen.
What kills me abut Gallup is the Kerry +3 after showing Bush +8
Assuming that the numbers are correct - I wonder why Pubs would be waiting to vote? Any reason you can think of?

I can't find this story at drudge or drudger or usatoday.com
51% to 43% to 1%? Were the other 5% on the persons voting saying undecided or none of the above?
We all know Kerry is not going to win Florida by this margin, so this obviously doesn't represent proof of anything. If Kerry was ahead by a very close margin, it would be easier to believe it was an accurate representation of the race. This just proves you can't judge anything by who had time to stand in line all day, and was actually anxious to do it.
They said they voted and they said they voted for Kerry 51-43...believe nothing until we get totals..real totals
Exactly. If these numbers were reversed, there's no way USAToday would put them in their story. It's just a small fraction of a poll and is otherwise useless information. They just wanted to add good news for Kerry in their news story, that's all.
Nevermind...
This isn't based on published numbers it is based on a poll that first asked if they had voted and then who they voted for.
Channel 10 Panelist says that Bush is ahead by 125,000 votes in the early voting!

Yea, its only the first quarter, a long way to go yet.
I can't believe that it's allowed to get and publish these early votes before the end of elections!
What is that?Is that legal in US(i am french)?
If it is not who gave this "information"?
I don't believe it.
They are just trying to discourage Republicans from voting, as they did in 2000, when they called Florida for Gore, while the polls were still open.
This is the exact same tactic.
As I have said many times, that regardless of what any polls say, whether Bush is ahead or behind by 15 points, the most important thing is to ignore the polls and get out and vote.
Then we'll see what is the final tally.
That would be worrisome in and of itself, but the same poll also shows W ahead in PA by +4 but down in OH. I have a really, really hard time believing that W would be trailing in the more conservative leaning FL with their good economy, but ahead in the democrat-leaning PA?! If true, this would be mystifying, but I guess we'll see on Tuesday if this comes to pass.
Wonder what happened to Karl Rove's October surprise we heard about?
Now it is Nov and I am "disappointed" in him, as much as it was touted.
Or was I asleep?
Our GW ran a "too nioce" campaign.
YOu NEVER heard the word "liar" from our side, but constant screaming kindergarten names from the left. If that isn't a sign to the sheep, I don't know what is. (of how desperate and immmature and hateful the democratic party is).
This year was the first year I voted early, but only because last time the lines were so long.

The President's campaign has a great idea, particularly for those of you with cell phones. You can call registered voters in swing states, reminding them to come out and vote for President Bush. I'll be calling 15 Floridians today on my lunch break and 15 more voters in Swing States tomorrow.
Sign up as a volunteer and do something to move this campaign forward.

CBS was a nationwide survey I think, not just Florida.
LOL! So CNN and USA Today are calling Florida for Bush two days before the election. Pretty good!
I believe the polls have Jeb Bush losing in 2002 and he won going away!
Probably because they're either worried the dems will somehow "mess" with their vote (i.e., throwing them away or "losing" it--this applies to absentee voting), or they don't want the dems to know exactly how much they need to cheat.
Possibly most of those voted early in Florida are retirees and seniors. They give their votes to the dems in the hope that they take care of their social security and medical costs
I read just the opposite on another post tonight.
If you're referring to that radio interview Rove did with Hannity I think it was, where he mentioned how he had a "couple of surprises" in store for Kerry & Edwards, I believe he didn't mean an "October surprise," but rather, was implying that W would win a couple of states we weren't "supposed" to win. If so, I'm thinking HI might be one of them (and maybe NJ?).
Snowbirds from New York and New Jersey who have to hustle back home to vote there.
This is bogus. Drudge should never have run with this story.
drudge runs a lot of things he shouldn't run.
This is what I do not get.....Only 9 people in the total fl survery said they going to vote for Nader....(Not just early voting but the whole thing.) but yet there is 8 points between Kerry and Bush in the early vote poll...
don't get your hope up in favor of kerry, you commies.
Something doesn't add up here folks. I say disregard both polls and just vote.
Anyway, a lot Democrats vote early espically senior citizens, so I would expect a heavy early Democrat is common.
What else have they to do?
This bogus story is causing undue stress and confusion. Can this thread be locked?
