Report: Arafat tested for poisoning

Paris, France, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Paris doctors ran tests on Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat to determine if his sudden decline in health last week was from poisoning, the Sun reports.

While the doctors said they would not release their findings until Wednesday, Arafat spokesman Imad Shakur said the 75-year-old's "condition is quite serious," and said the French medical team has not ruled out leukemia.

An article in Time magazine Monday cites one of his doctors as saying Arafat appears to have cancer of the digestive tract. But Palestinian officials in Paris said the current prevailing theory is that he is suffering from some kind of viral infection.

Arafat met Sunday for the first time with Shakur and other Palestinian officials who accompanied him to Paris.

"Even if he returns, and I hope that he will, he will not be the same Arafat, not for us, not for Israel, not even for himself," said Shakur. "(He is) an old, sick man, who has different needs.">>

Poisoning sounds most plausible to me. That's why he was willing to leave his compound. He may have known that someone on the inside was poisoning him.

Of course, that is the most logical thing. I can't explain why a 75 year old man would have medical problems unless he's been poisoned.

But it will be a smart plan (from HIS POV) if Israel is attacked now that he isn't there... before he left - noone would hit Israel on a "grand" scale because he was sitting in the middle of it.

I'm praying for Israel.

Very glad they tested for poisoning, so it can be ruled out and not used in some bogus claim later.

Arafat can't go back? Why would he want to? Many factions want his head, he's got his millions, he can skip away after murdering for years, be protected in France, and enjoy his wealth.

France lets 50,000 of its people die of heat shock.
France lets antiSemites murder Jews and foul graves.
France then sends its Presidential Jet to pick up
one of the biggest serial murderers of Jews, Christians, and children in the world,
and flies him to the finest French military hospital for the finest French care.

FLASHBACK:

"On February 29, 1704, a party of French and Indian raiders
descended on the Massachusetts village of Deerfield, killing fifty residents and
capturing more than a hundred others. A force of more
than two hundred Frenchmen, Abenakis, Hurons, Kahnawake Mohawks,
Pennacooks, and Iroquois of the Mountain overran
the northwesternmost village of the New England frontier.
The attackers took 112 men, women, and children captive.
The book Captors and Captives: The 1704 French and Indian Raid on Deerfield (Native
Americans of the Northeast) by Evan Haefeli, Kevin Sweeney
follows the raiders and their prisoners on the harsh
three-hundred-mile trek back to Canada and into French and Native communities."

=========== French missiles given to Iraq to be USED Against US and Coalition Heroes =========

French missiles found by the Poles, and to protect France, blown up.

Froggies said they did not say "2003". LOL. Decide for yourself.

Agreed. Besides, if these weasels want the results to be "poison" later, they'll just claim the test was faulty or faked or something. Truth means nothing to them.

Somebody asked me the other night what possible poison might cause his symptoms...naturally I didn't write a list, but DID say this might be an occupational hazard for all terrorists fond of making Warfarin bombs...heheheh...oh well.

Pois9oning is only plausible in the self medication sense, and yes, people frequently get hold of prescription drugs and try to treat their own symptoms, only to suffer side effects and overdoses from treating themselves with the wrong medications. Yasser's been suffering from renal failure for the past year. Possible causes: diabetes, renal cell carcinoma, too much rat poison in the old nail bombs and cirrosis

I've decided the little terrorist demon ingested a small amount of poison to get out of the area. It makes me wonder what is coming...perhaps a major attack on both America and Israel...maybe election day. I hope this is not the case and am praying for both nations.

The French are idiots. It is clear that he has TTP (Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura). It has been widely reported that Arafat has low platelets, confusion, signs that he was having an infection (which is most likely a fever). TTP is a rare disorder of unclear etiology that has the clinical pentad of low platelets, fever, confusion/mental status changes, renal failure, and microangiopathic anemia. I bet that Arafat has the latter 2 findings to complete the pentad. The cure is plasmapheresis. With plasmapheresis, he has a great chance of survival. Without plasmapheresis, patients with TTP have about a 90% mortality rate. Another plausibility is that he may have peritonitis and sepsis from a case of severe acute cholecystitis as it was also widely reported that he has gallstones. Gallstone pancreatitis perhaps because he does look somewhat jaundiced. Pancreatic cancer is a thought as well, but it wouldn't account for the low platelets. Ahhh, who gives a SH*T, he's in the hands of the incompetent French, that's all that counts!
