Media Concealing Swastika Grafitti of Bush Signs

Posted on 11/01/2004 11:19:27 AM PST by Travis McGee

Title: "Freeper report: News media concealing swastika grafitti of Bush signs"

A long-time Freeper I know and trust and who wishes to remain anonymous sent me this report:

This is a photo from a residential neighborhood in Carson City, Nevada. Homes in the $300k-$400k price range. The brownshirts have painted swastikas on this large Bush/Cheney sign, and it has been this way for at least 2 days.

The Freeper-photographer contacted the Nevada Appeal local daily newspaper, and the newsroom personnel explained that there were many of these incidents, and they are not reporting them in order not to provide glory for the taggers.

But this is a “hate crime” not a “tag.” It has nothing to do with the narcissism of a hoodlum who wants to see his name on signs, and even in print.

The paper is obviously a "red-rag".

I wonder if law enforcement will get involved??

I heard this same rationale from news organizations in PA too (my parents are up there working for Bush) about the vandalizing. I don't really buy it, because there's reports all the time about vandals striking cemetaries, churches, etc, in the media.

It wasn't just in that neighborhood either. It was throughout the city. Wrote a letter to the editor about it and of course, it wasn't published.

I'm sure the Leftist media would consider it "newsworthy" if someone slapped sickles and hammers on Kerry signs...

Here's the unpublished letter:

Once Great Democratic Party

During Nevada Day, this great state celebrated the birth of one of the finest states in the nation. Yet, during my travels of the day, I ran into Bush/Cheney signs that had swastikas painted on them. Some of the signs were torn up. Some were in tact. It was a shocking and startling set of events that have led to the demise of a once great, Democratic Party.

Shaking her head in disbelief, my wife got out and replaced the signs. But what does it really say about the state of the Democratic Party? It tells us that the party has moved so far to the left that they embrace the very swastikas they used to malign. Across the nation, Republican headquarters have been broken into, vandalized, and Katherine Harris, a Republican Congresswoman was nearly run over. More evidence of how Democratic Party personnel has encroached upon the First Amendment. It is a disgrace to their party and it continues.

Can they not see how they’ve become what they hate? They cannot. A once great party of Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman has descended into a blob of bitter hate and demagoguery. In World War II, the very same tactics that are being used in our country today slaughtered millions of Jews. The same propaganda that was spread by the Soviet Union is being used today. Do they not see the similarities? They do not.

For forty years, liberalism has crept into our society through education and the courts. It has branded an emblem to the Democratic Party. This emblem won’t allow its sycophants to see the truth. This emblem makes commercials that scare the elderly in believing their Social Security is up for grabs. This emblem has created rumors that whisper President Bush will instill a draft. Not true. This emblem has spread its propaganda to African-American voters with claims of racism from Republicans. This once great Democratic Party has become the people it loves to hate the most. In its fervor, it bears the very mark of those that oppose America.

I live nearby and this was not the only incident. There were at least 3 other signs that were vandalized like this one.

A truly shameful display of hatred and yet another reason to keep these people out of power.

When this happens on schools and temples in my area the press is all over it,no worry about not wanting to glorify the taggers then.

Seems like swastikas are okay on Bush signs, but treated as if the world is ending if they are placed anywhere else.

Hanoi Communist Jane Fonda Campaigning for Communist John Kerry Update:

To: KwasiOwusu

Have you seen this?

As of Saturday, October 23: I was told this evening by a very high Bush-Cheney National official that Jane Fonda has been calling democratic voters in New Mexico to encourage them to get out and vote for Kerry. She accidentally called a Bush-Cheney campaign aide and was recorded. Her private telephone number is 516-728-1665. I have already called to let her know my feelings about her campaigning for Kerry and her previous actions. I felt it would be nice to post her number here so Vietnam veterans can also call her and express your true feelings about her. Thought she and Kerry barely knew each other? Hmmm.

Hitler - the leader of the national socialist party (NAZI) was a vegetarian who as leader of Germany nationalized health care, the banks and most major industries. He was for taxing the rich and total and enforced public education (so that the next generation could be indoctrinated). He was also a gun-banner.

Mmmmm - now who and what party does that sound like?

The US media doesn’t want to reveal the left for the vile pigs they are, but the foreign media relishes in the site of Americans calling the leader of their country a nazi. From the Sydney Morning Herald, Bush the Nazi riding on the back of a slain US soldier:

The Brownshirts did this stuff in Germany, so why would it surprize anyone that the 'Democrat' Brownshirts do the same today?

The latter are as enamored with violence, totalitarianism and bald-faced lies as were the former.

The M1 Super 90 and a full bandoleer of Brenneke slugs and 000 buck is in the vehicle at all times...

You may find as I did that the vibration and bouncing about resulting from extended carry in a vehicle eventually loosens the wads in Brenneke slugs, offering less than usual accuracy. Those in my circle who continue to use them generally swap theirs out at specified periods, from weekly to monthly, depending on preference and experience.

I've also noted the possibility of tearing or shearing of the relatively thin rims of Brenneke slugs in autoloaders, and at least potentially in a pumpgun with a heavy-handed operator. Even the shell stops of the magazine ding up the rims of the Brenneke rounds, requiring frequent inspection, at least.

They do work swell in double guns and singlebarrelled shotguns, and in those weapons increase the odds of getting the job done with a single, well-placed shot. And for a gun that rests in a less severe opereating enviornment, they're just fine.

But I use other slugs in the shotguns carried aboard my car, truck and motorbike. The triple-ought buck loads you use should do just fine, though I go for something with a bit less flash at night. Different guns have differing preferences so far as shot loads go, and my old 870 tends to prefer 20-pellet #1 buck loads. But either triple-0 or reduced recoil 8-pellet 00 buck loads are available, and are sometimes my choice as circumstances dictate.

That Brenneke slug remains a particular comfort as the first load up when travelling in bear country, though....

Interesting. The S$B Rottweil Brennekes I bought in mass quantities from the Cheaper Than Dirt outfit a few years back have some featuers that may differ from the ones you're describing. First of all, the top of the slug is set back from the rolled-in mouth of the plastic shell casing. This would appear to protect the round and the slug inside it from getting too dinged up in the course of handling and load-and-fire. The wad is somewhat unique in that it is a thick copper (or plastic) platform resting directly on and compressing the poweder load. A short pillar rises from the center of the platform to flare out into a thinner platform upon which rests the botton of the Brenneke slug. The shell casing itself is transparent, so all of this is visible.

They certainly are effective. I've shot two horse-chasing dogs with them and it was a solid put-down each time. Didn't emerge from the other side of the critter, either, which suggests some nice expansion.

I've also got some solid copper Barnes expanders that I haven't yet had occasion to try on varmints of either the four- or two-legged persuasion, but Lurker says that they do a really nice job. Perhaps some of the post election festivities will offer a suitable proving range, but we'll have to see how it plays out.

The Benelli has an 18" barrel, and it seems to like the 000 buck loads I feed it just fine. Nice spread, and it's a good compromise betrween pellet weight and quantity.

BTW, all of these are 2 3/4" - no need for magnums for social work, and the recoil is more manageable.
