I really can't complain for the most part - some of the worst traffic jams I've been in were at sunrise as I was coming down the hill with a gorgeous view of Pearl Harbor, stretching all the way to Diamond Head. It doesn't get any better - a nice Hawaiian music station on, sunrise over the Koolau's, and Honolulu city lights in the distance.

The Convention Center on Oahu - right on the outskirts of Wakiki. AF2 landed at Hickam.

Have your husband, in honor of his excellent photography, go back to Waikiki and over to the Halekulani and have a Mai Tai on me!

I've had "a couple" there during my stays, and can vouch for them.

Mahalo!

Of course, all those times that Cheney was in an "undisclosed location" he was in Hawaii

Great Pics. I Love Hawaii. Hey Spyder, how about divorcing your husband and marrying me? I'd like to live on Hawaii too. :)

By the way, did Jack Lord (Hawaii Five-0) attend?

Um... in spirit maybe. He died a few years back ;-).

Sure hope so. I've heard rumors that it well might flip this time. 9/11 really hurt our economy that has otherwise been zipping along quite well before and again in the past year or so. Hawaii doesn't like the idea of terrorism, and with all the military here, who don't necessarily vote here but are big fans for Bush, it's hard to vote anti-troop.

Not only that, there are so many small business owners in Hawaii, I can't imagine them wanting to vote for Kerry.

See above posts - depending on the reports there were anywhere from 6000-10,000 in attendance.

Great pictures. Thank you for posting them. Lynn and Dick sure looked like they were enjoying the crowd. I loved the "pig with lipstick" story.

That's the coolest rally I've ever seen! I especially like the hula girls with the coconut tops. I hope it didn't send Cheney's heart into a patter.
