I hope the terms of engagement don't state that we can only use weapons equal to what the enemy has. I say go in there with bulldozers and do some urban renewal like Israel does but on a bigger scale.

Bulldozers, hell. I want a squadron of circling AC-130's, which will pulverize any city block from which any US troop reports even a single shot of enemy fire.

Done right, there would be zero coalition casualties.

GOD! I Love the smell of napalm in the morning....the sweet smell of Iraqi insurgents meeting Allah. When we go house to house there won't be any insurgents left that aren't dead or in coalition custody. Prepare to meet 72 old fat women in hell. Thanks for the target practice.

AMEN to all that. Hillarys husband started a war against fellow christians who were defending themselves against the muslim horde.

When bj found out his air war from 30,000 feet was not going to work he started bombing trains and radio stations, bridges and other infrastructure which murdered over 2,000 innocent men, women, and children.

He and his followers are guilty of war crimes.

Let's help them commit suicide!

Unlike the first Stalingrad, this time the attackers will probably win, but losses will be heavy,

I'm glad you're not commanding troops.

'OK my armchair general friend, if I'm "Mr Kerry'

You don't have to have the $$$ to be like Kerry. All you have to do is create and spread the 'idear' of defeatist doom. Jr. notwithstanding, STALINGRAD. You have no sense of proportion. US forces 'the attackers' won't just 'probably win', they will win decisively. You call me an armchair general, on what experience basis do you make your casualty call for this upcoming battle? Or does it just sound good in your circle to casually dismiss the deaths of members of the Armed Forces of the US. Later in this thread, a very concise and probable course of action was described. The Corps will probably bring a Regimental sized unit to this battle supported by a Marine Air Group. Not enough numbers for your Stalingrad scenario.

However if I suspect that you're just trolling, which I do, facts don't matter to a DUer like you. If you are just new, your first post reflected a commonality with others of your ilk. It was a loser too.

If you read the rest of this thread you will notice that it is highly unlikly he is from DU.

I am not saying this about shellcracker since I dunno him but a lot of old freepers who were banned and still have a grudge are signing on here lately because they are not getting enough play at antifreeper. So I suspect we will see many who hold viewpoints that we do but still have some issues. So keep that in mind about all the new people.

The concept in your post is good. However, it is time for the Marines to get payback and using locals in the past has hindered operations. The US has built up a large force in the area of all kinds of units and troops. Not just Marines. The ragheads will meet the best soldiers and equipment in the history of warfare and die a needless death from the "invaders". I say give women and kids 24 then all hell breaks loose from air attacks. FWIW I do not believe we will use a MOAB (as other posters have suggested)in an urban area. WE do not have the stomach for it. Dasiy Cutters were always used in rural areas in Nam.

I've read the whole thread, he backtracked, but all trolls do when it gets hot. Read the rest of his posting history.

I didn't know I was talking to Gen Clark,

'Stalingrad" as an analogy for urban warfare.'

No more recent examples, like say Baghdad?

'but if "our fighting men and women" prove me wrong, that's great.'

Yeah I believe that.

Kinda like taking a dip in the Amazon River; all these litte piranhas waiting to nip at you.

We have our share, but mainly have a lot of fun. Until you've been here a while, expect some to yell "Troll !" anytime you post something they could possibly interpret as something they don't like.

Most folks here are pretty decent, though.

"You mean will be using Israeli troops? Sorry, just kidding. Seriously what I think Z-man will do is use some young hotheads as cannon fodder to stand up to the Infidel (and die for Allah) while he gets his best killers out of town when things get too hot. Let your best units retreat in good order, fight another day."

Except for one thing. This time Fallujah is completely surrounded and any males leaving are closely scrutinized and detained.

Tora Bora and Nam are prime examples of locals failing.

As for the Israeli's they are only tested against Arabs.....Also kidding.
