That's crazy.

I put in about $300 total in 02 between PAC's and campaigns and that really was crazy. Paid for it later too.

I put in about $100 this year, most of it toward judicial and small races where a dollar goes further.

The widow's mite comes to mind, as well as a leap of faith. Soros hasn't anything on this 17-year-old.

Where are the CBS handwriting experts when we need them ?

Seriously, this letter could be a clever fraud by a republican. The thing that convinces me is one, there are no superscripts on a typwritten page, and two, ryan's alleged handwritting is shockingly similar to mine.

Im embarrassed to say how much I've spent to help re elect Pres Bush.. because most would probably say its stupid and way too much, but I've also been working on this since April 29th. I've never been involved in a campaign like this, but I just felt a calling that this was truly the most important election of our lives. I might not have been so passionate about it if the dems had a more moderate candidate with character. I think Kerry is probably one of the sleaziest politicians to ever run for this office.

A lot of people judge candidates by how much they pay in taxes. I looked at the percent of contributions to charity and donations that both bush and kerry made.. in the years 91-95 tax returns. Bush has consistently averaged 10% or more in contributions to charity. kerry averaged 1/2 of one percent.. .YES .5%. some years this rich man GAVE NOTHING TO CHARITY. come one folks. if you have a decent value system you know this is telling. Kerry is not a very nice man. If I didn't like Bush, I would vote for no one.. but never would I cast a ballot for a man like Kerry. He is shameful..and very skerry.

Oh - thanks. I use dial up, so I was thinking the online version would be quicker. Guess I'll just have to grit my teeth and go for it.

I write notes in class everyday and that handwriting is a heck of a lot better than mine.

Heck, I can barely read my own handwriting sometimes.

I noticed that. I hope it's a small part - full-page ads don't come cheap.

Especially in a big paper like the Columbus Dispatch.

You could get one in my college paper for 300 bucks. I can't imagine what he is spendging in the Col Dispatch....but it has to be 500 bucks plus.

It's not hard to get ratecards, but just to estimate - in really big cities like LA and NYC, a one-time full-page ad is in the $40,000-50,000 range as I recall.

Thanks for the post. Dems will probably claim some type of CFR Crime was committed by his act of free speech here. Be ready to defend him!

Here is a black & white combined "gif" file of the ad that is less than 100k bytes, not quite a pretty, but a LOT easier on the bandwidth challanged.

Click it to open the image itself. Right-click it and choose "Save" to download it to your computer. Hold down the "control" key and scroll your mouse wheel to "zoom" the image bigger or smaller in most browsers.

I always love these headlines. In every state so far, Gay Marriage has been shot down by 40 points, and yet they insist on calling it "controversial" or a "wedge issue" that "closely divides" the electorate.

He'd be better off using all of it for his education. He should then be in a position to donate a lot more money over the next 50 years.
