"A double Dubya torn apart and re-arranged to spell out "WIN" which is why I included it in the photo."

On Wisconsin, On Wisconsin, stand up Badgers sing. "Forward" is our driving spirit, loyal voices ring.
On Wisconsin, On Wisconsin, raise her glowing flame. Stand, fellows, let us now salute her name. And! From Murali Patel Class of '01 On Wisconsin, On Wisconsin, plunge right through that line Run the ball clear down the field boys, touchdown sure this time U-Rah-Rah On Wisconsin, On Wisconsin, Fight on for her fame Fight, Badgers, fight, fight, fight, we'll win this game.
Just as a reminder to my fellow Wisconsin FReepers, unless you live in a rural town where the polls open between 8 and 9 am, it's T-minus 33 minutes and counting to the open of the polls.
Thanks for the great pictures. My camera was just not up to the job this time. I was too far away and the lighting was not adequate, so I really appreciate your shots. Kisses & hugs!
BTW, I caught to closing rally last night on C-Span. Opened my day working at the Milwaukee Rally and closed it collapsed on the couch watching the Prez in Dallas at one huge rally.
Someone here thought he looked tired yesterday. I disagree -- I thought he looked great. But can you imagine how he must have felt at about 1 this AM when he finally got home to Crawford?
Milwaukee was his 3rd appearance of the day -- Dallas was the 7th. He looked just as fresh in Dallas as he did in Milwaukee.
It's prayer time now.
It was Morgan Hamm at the rally, though Paul Hamm has done a radio ad endorsing Jim Sensenbrenner.
I was at this rally! It was great! The President was greeted like a rock star and nobody wanted to let Tommy Thompson finish his speech as he was introducing him! LOL! It was a really wonderful experience! I voted this morning and it was extremely busy. Had to walk a block and a half from my parking spot and the line was incredibly long. Got into a fight with a kerry voter. Hehehe...
Bump for the day people.
I was really surprised how easy it was to get in. I figured they'd at least check my ID against some printed list of known troublemakers, but they didn't. I really expected they'd scan my ID, but they didn't. They just looked at my ID, looked at me, looked at my cell phone, looked at my camera and lenses, wanded me (my watch had set off the metal detector) and let me on through.
I would have really liked to bring through a mono-pod and a speed light, but I was sure that would would be pushing it.
There really wasn't enough light to shoot at ISO800 at 210mm, handheld, but I did anyway. I lost significant sharpness as a result of motion blur, but it was a tradeoff between blur and noise. The crowd, amazingly, allowed me enough personal space that no one was bumping me, so I opted to risk some sharpness by trying to hold really still while shooting, rather than risk high ISO noise. Considering I was only 10-15 feet away from the President, in a mosh pit, that I wasn't being jostled by others was a real surprise.
I shot over 80 pictures, and almost all of them came out satisfactory, which impressed the hell out of me. I chalk it up to luck.
