It won't matter. There is no chance provisional ballots or anything else is going to make up the deficit in Ohio.

More good news for Bush. Go ahead and fight this. 99% of Cuyahoga counted. Bring it on, Kerry lawyers. We smacked Dem lawyers around 4 years ago and we'll do it again this election.

This is different than 2000.
I don't think people are going to stand for this so long as the margin of victory is around 100k.
President Bush is the INCUMBENT while last election both were challengers.
The American public will shout Kerry down.
By the way, we are going to take Iowa, New Mexico and Nevada, not enough to make Ohio irrelevant unless we can snatch Wisconsin or Michigan.

Sigh.
They already spent their wad.
Courts already ruled on provisional ballots.
If they don't meet the criteria of age, registration, or residency, they do not count.
Voter is informed of this and they make the ultimate decision on casting the ballot.
They are fighting the 15% left to be counted - from all I've read, not enough there to overcome.

Doesn't matter. Looks like Bush will win Iowa, NM, And NV. Which will give him 269. Not sure what happened to the 1 Maine EV. I had heard it was going to Bush. If so that gives him 270. If not 269 goes to congress which is Republican controlled.

Bush lost the popular vote in 2000 Yes. It was Gore who challenged President Bush's Florida win.
Here you potentially have the loser of the popular vote making the challenge.

Unbelievable!! - Lets win IA, NM and WI (HI to) - Problem is WI doesn't look good.
I cannot believe they are going to fight this!! - I really think that if GWB wins OH by more than 130,000 Votes....that some within the Democrat Party are going to get to Kerry tomorrow and tell him to concede -
He is going to lose the popular vote by 3% or more - Lose more States and lose OH by over 100,000 votes....I think someone is going to say this is too much pressure you need to concede
At least I hope so!

Just got home from work.... what were the missing OH ballots that some of you were talking about earlier? I could only read bits and pieces of threads while there.

I think you're so right! FL 2000 had a margin under 1,000 votes, most people could just about understand contesting that (though the ways in which Algore went about it were so despicable). But I doubt that too much of the public will stand for a candidate prolonging the matter when the margin, just in OH, is 100,000+.....and if GW is up 2 million or more in the popular vote nationally.... of course, the Demagogic Party will have lots of fictitious stories about supposed "voter intimidation" etc. but they won't have 100,000 more OH votes in court (I hope and pray).
