Linda, I just want to say that your cartoons inspired me, uplifted me, and gave me a smile or a hope even when things didn't look that positive for our President. Your talent and gifts, so freely shared, meant a lot to me during this tough election fight. Your poster of the little Iraqi girl smiling as she gets to go to school now still brings tears to my eyes, and it hangs above my computer where I can look at it often. Let me say that I am PROUD to "know" someone like you, even if it is only in cyberspace.
Now, can you tell me why the heck they aren't calling IA for President Bush?
Ooops. I meant Afghan girl. It has been an unbelievably looooong night.
By the way, NO IOWA newspapers have run ANY of my cartoons, even though I am a "born & raised here" Iowan. But of course, they can't stop the Internet. (he, he, he!)
And some Iowans might say that the fact that I lived in Florida (for nearly 12 years), Virginia and California makes me 'tainted,' but I believe it gives me a broader perspective...
