The following email from a anonymous very knowledgeable source seems to summarize yesterday quite effectively:
'The people behind the Voter News 2000 disaster and the complete collapse of the VNS in 2002 must be overjoyed with the utterly dreadful performance of the much ballyhooed National Election Pool.'
They f***** up the national poll, countless state polls, (Virginia a tossup?) and God knows what elese.
The entire mainstream news media goes on a completely misguided goose chase for SEVEN FREAKING HOURS from 2PM to 9PM.
Since few of them have no idea how to read a county vote table, many of then kept pumping up the Kerry wins fable well into the night.
It's an unelieveable f*** up.

Another couple funny comments by Kaus:
"Bush 51, Kerry 48: [Dem] Pollster Ruy Teixeira demands that these raw numbers be weighted to reflect party I.D.!"
"Is Zogby Nailed to the Perch? He waits until 5:00 P.M. on Election Day to make his '2004 Predictions,' and still gets it all wrong!"
Zogby is finished! 311 EV's for Skerry..
Susan Estrich bought it hook line and sinker. I saw her of Fox with her head bobbing while she was telling the boys that she know Kerry was going to pull it out in the end. She took her stoopid pill twice yesterday.
Judy Woodruff smiled like she was at her Junior Prom for about 2 hours last night..
I believe the fraud was purposed to dis-enchant the Bush voters of Central, Mountain and Pacific Time zones. If this could be proven, is there a law that's been broken?.....
The head exit poll guy used to work for CBS News and polled 59% female/41% male..
Poor Judy WoofWoof. All dressed up for the prom and nowhere to go.
Guess we know that answer now...
When Susan E-screech was on I said to the lovely and gracious Mrs. Theknow (can you tell she is still PO'ed about the washing machine for her birthday) that Susie was either off her meds, over-medicated or damn near commode-hugging drunk.
After a few more seconds, aforementioned beauty said, "She IS plastered!"
CNN Radio was giddy in reporting how SC and NC had "not yet been called" for Bush at 8:45 pm. "This could be a long night for the President."
I tuned into CNN to see just how giddy they were, even Tucker Carlson bought the exit polls hook line and sinker..
"Judy Woodruff smiled like she was at her Junior Prom for about 2 hours last night.."
Poor Judy! LOL!
EXCELLENT Python reference.
Tinkerbell Tucker is turning into a leftist, and will be fully out of the closet shortly.
I was listening to CNN radio while driving. Fox had the best election coverage. Local Fox had Shepard Smith and Fox News had Brit Hume. I would have figured that order would have been reveresed.
Hearing Estrich screeching "Cuyahoga County" over and over last night almost drove me to madness.
Now Judy's in "Funeral Black".
She was infatuated with the scenario. Good thing Michael Barone completely debunked her theory immediately after she left the screen. He was great to watch.
Before exit polls media had something called key precincts. Ones that could be counted on to provide quick final tallies and were consistent in their results year to year. A sharp reporter, and there used to be many, could look ath a half dozen key precincts in a state and make a good judgement as to how the state would go that evening. No voters were intimidated by pollsters. No results were skewed by knowledge of the polling reaults. Of ourse you didn't have the bells and whistles of how the left handed lesbian paperhanging vote would move, but it was always quite an educational experience watching the results. Reporters asked why something happened and had to come up with an opinion based on THEIR knowledge. Always a chancy job, and today an unheard of one.
Michael Barone was by far the smartest commentator on TV last night. It was scary how he seemed to know the swing states county by county, almost precinct by precinct. And he was loving it. By the early morning hours he looked like he was on his fifth gallon of coffee.
I knew it was a fraud at 8:00 pm, when you could already see Bush's margins in Ohio and nationwide.
He was winning by 5% more in every state reporting over 2000. They could have called the election right then and there. I did.
Bingo, there was a guy on NBC5 here in Chicago who could nail the numbers. This was good in 2 ways, No monkey business of trying to swing the votes either way. They could even tell if a precinct was having an off night versus the prior election results. This is basically what Barone was doing last night, except he only had the county data, and had to sort of guestimate the precincts
My bride asked for a welding kit for her last birthday. Mrs. Theknow is in good company on this site. How can you ever say I love you without power tools or major appliances?
I couldn't stand watching the witch. She was so sure of her absolute infallibility. What was really funny was that every single projection and prediction she made was proven wrong in every single way as the night progressed. I didn't watch things closely enough to see if Brit ever shoved her previous statements into her face. I really hope he did.
Ya. The 2nd funniest line ever said on television is ... "This is an ex-parrot!"
Do you know the funniest line ever said on TV?
Brit also did a nice job asking Barone questions and making quick interpretations. They made for a good duo.
What is the value of a 100 point loss on the DJIA?
Barone was awesome. With the exception of him, though, I thought that Fox and Hume were off their game. Greenfield at CNN was great too. I was flipping back and forth between Barone and Greenfield; I thought everyone else was just doing a circle jerk.
All hail to Michael Barone. What a pro!!! He appears to have intimate knowledge of every political demographic nook and cranny in America.
"Barone was awesome. With the exception of him, though, I thought that Fox and Hume were off their game"
---I did not turn TV on until about 2:30am today....I got all my news right here and was more confident by doing that as it turned out.
A Couple observations about that...
The first. It was Hilarious and disturbing at the same time, They need to be checking her basement for bodies about now.
By then Kristol, and Brit were on to the fact that the polls were F*d, but as Dick Morris notes, prior to last night they were taken as the gospel truth, but Susan looked like she was completely over the edge.....
Me too, I knew then it was Bravo Sierra..
"As God is my witness I thought turkeys could fly."
EXCELLENT Python reference.

Do you know the funniest line ever said on TV?
Here it is: "I'm John Kerry. And I'm reporting for duty!"

What's Chris Matthews up to today?
Bingo! I get a chuckle just thinking about it after all these years.
Did anyone see CNN Wolfe Blitzer give Kennedy 20 minutes of air time to try to demoralize Bush voters saying it was clearly a Kerry win...how great it was to have the Sox win the World Series.....culminating in a lavitra induced shiver of ecstacy call the name of President Kerry. THe MSM is the biggest looser in this whole buisness. Dan Rather is still in denial. He resides in a paralell univerise. He is a pathetic shell of a journalist.
Ms. Estrus was highly incensed when Brit referred to her as a know-it-all. She didn't accept his tangential apology he offered after he realized he hurt her feelings. Will toughen up bitch.

That reminds me to watch Chrissy after my nap..
