No link to this yet but will be one shortly...was on Headline News....estimates show P.Diddy and Russel Simmons "Vote or Die" project failed miserably yesterday and was actually over shadowed by the Christian Youth Vote 4 to 1.
Estimates show some 47% of those who were newly registered....slept in or were no show's.
Rock The Vote hoped to achieve some 25 million new voters to the polls...estimates show they got 6 million.

How can Rock the Vote or Vote or die be a failure? More people turned out than ever to vote. Unless it was a DNC trick, then yes, it failed!!!

This is in bad taste but......
So if they didn't vote, did they die?
Every year it's always about the youth vote. Another myth busted.

Whatever happened to the cell phone voters that were going to blast Bush out of the White House? You know, the unpollables?

False assumption that all young people are mindless boobs who will do what a rap artist or film maker tell them to do. Most of the young people I know are great moral kids. Voted Bush.
To: My Favorite Headache
Hey, at least they got a free concert out of it. I knew the Dems couldn't depend on those slackers.
I wonder how many of them blew the election off just because everybody THEY knew agreed that Bush was gonna lose, and they thought it wouldn't matter...

People who can't take care of their own existence, cannot be counted on to be dependable at the ballot box... pure and simple.
Every damned election we have the same crap...the youth will swing the election, but it just never happens! Fact is, if your main concern in life is when you are going to get laid or drunk next, you aren't a reliable voter.

They just don't understand that young people are not that different from the rest of America. Get outside of few elite private Universities and fewer public elite schools and they are often conservative children from the middle class.

Turn on MTV today...there is *nothing* on MTV about "Rock the Vote," "Vote or Die," or even the election itself.
Why?
Because MTV only cared about using its audience. Now that the election is over, MTV doesn't even care about using them.
This is typical of how leftist elites view the masses.

Whatever happened to the cell phone voters that were going to blast Bush out of the White House? You know, the unpollables? Young people voted the way they always vote: they don't.
I voted in my twenties, but I often voted without knowing very much. Slackers always act like slackers.
It'll be the same in 2008.

I guess P-Dingleberry will have to return to being a talentless punk, Michael Moore will drown himself in lard, Jimah Carter will continue being senile and George Soros will become a monk.
And as for all you sniveling liberal dweebs threatening to leave the country....Don't let the door hit you in the A$$, and don't come back. What an improvement to the gene pool your absence would be.
To: Another Thought
Most of the young people I know are great moral kids. Voted Bush. I agree completely. My son got together last night with a whole slew of his scruffy-lookin', tattoo-sportin', backwards-hat-wearin' buds and watched the returns. They celebrated like they'd won the lottery when Fox called Ohio for W!
That's what the MSM isn't catching yet: there is a significant percentage of US youth who are quite conservative. They may dress all "shtreet" and such, but they have strong moral values and want the government to focus on defending the country and staying out of our wallets.
They also think P. Diddy and his crew are morons.
