I think everyone should donate $10.00 to Free Republic. What would Free Republic do with $60 billion?

I'm pretty new to Free Republic and would be pleased to donate. Can we donate online or do we send a check to the address in Fresno?

Great Idea! I think I'll just add another $10.00 to my monthly.
A CHALLENGE TO ALL FReepers...
Those who can, please add a bit to your monthly donations to FR. If you're unable to do this, try to give what you can.
We can honestly say that FR had a major role in this election victory and the media exposure FR has gotten lately has brought many new folks to our forum.
If we want to have FR there for us, we must be there for FR.

I was going to suggest something like this, but there have been so many vanities. so many that we could even have a bonfire... of... the vantities.

If everyone who gives $10 today would just pledge to give the same $10 on a monthly basis, we might not have to have those annoying pledg-a-thons and Jim and the troopers could concentrate 100% of their efforts to getting out the conservative word.

Ok, everybody, I'm disabled and on a limited income. I contribute monthly already because FR has been a place I can come, read, post and enjoy the fellowship. I just kicked in an additional $10.00 one time donation because I really believe that without the research and activism promoted by FR, we wouldn't have won!
Thank you Jim for allowing this site to be here 24/7 when I have needed it. Here's to you!

By the way Jim...I'm a Libertarian but I am damn glad Bush won. I hope you will go a little easier on us if we criticize the congress. Now that the GOP has a mandate, there is no excuse for them to continue massive spending. Let's see some true conservatism from the republicans, and the 400,000 Libertarian votes will come home in 2006.

I pray that George W Bush uses his mandate to defend America, defend our constitutional rights, defend the rights of our unborn, control government spending, continue reducing taxes, reform the tax system, reform the social security and medicare systems, reform the legal system, strengthen our borders, and one of my own personal favorites - appoint conservative judges! I will be working hard for all of the above and hard to increase the Republican majority in 2006!
No more obstructionism! Sixty six in 06!!

Why donate money to free Republic? I dont understand how someone could actually vote for Bush after all he has done to our country! Are you all blind or just wish not to see? Why do you think Osama Bin Laden said in his recent tape that if Bush gets re-elected(which he did), he is going to bomb our country till it is dust? Bush can do nothing for the United States. He has put us in debt, done nothing for "No Child Left Behind"(a program he started in the first place), and most of all he is a complete idiot. He does not know what the hell he is doing and wont show us any better in the next four years! Thats all from me. If you have any comments on my statements then feel free to reply to me.

Jim count me in for an extra $25 this month on top my $/day habit/donation with Free Republic.
I don't want to even to think about a world without Free Republic. Yesterday even FNC and Drudge abandoned us.
Howlin started that great thread, and I like many others did quite well without Drudge and FNC/ABCNNBCBS thanks to that thread.

Your quite welcome Jim! As I said in the comments box on the donations page, I have been reading and posting here for quite awhile and I was feeling more than a bit guilty that I wasn't doing my part to help support this wonderful site. There are probably more than a few Freepers that really can't afford to give much to this cause and it behooves me to help take up some of the slack. I use my real name here rather than a handle to mask my identity. There isn't anyone on the web that doesn't take a risk of persecution when doing so but I'm proud of my affiliation here and cherish the values we promote.
