Putin leads praise for U.S. choice
CNN ^ | 11.03.04

Posted on 11/03/2004 11:42:42 AM PST by 4kevin

Russian President Vladimir Putin led world leaders' tributes to George W. Bush's victory in the U.S. presidential race, saying it meant Americans had not allowed themselves to be cowed by terrorists.

"If Bush wins... I can only feel joy that the American people did not allow itself to be intimidated, and made the most sensible decision," Putin said at a Kremlin news conference after talks with Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi.

He was speaking before Democratic challenger John Kerry conceded victory to Bush in Tuesday's vote.

Ex-KGB agent Putin and former oilman Bush have forged a close relationship that Russian opposition to the U.S.-led war in Iraq has not derailed and have been united in the struggle to derail Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda movement.

"I am convinced that international terrorism gave itself the goal of not allowing the re-election of Bush. The statement by bin Laden in the final stages of the pre-election campaign is the best confirmation of this," Putin said.

I'd like to take this opportunity to inform Osama that I live in a "Red State", which I'm proud to say was the first projected into the President's Electoral Vote column, so bring it on!

As for Vlad Putin, let's go get some ragheads, it's open season!

Putin knows that terrorists cannot be appeased.

Bush is the farthest thing from an appeaser; Kerry looks like one.

The Muslim terrorists know that Bush will go after them with a vengeance.

What's the raghead word for county? My state (NJ) went for Kerry, but my county (Sussex) went solid for Bush and sent conservative Scott Garrett back to Congress representing the 5th distict. I hope that turd eating goat humper will take into account I did everything I could to make NJ a red state.

I think if you have the opportunity to see the red - blue county breakdown across the country, you'll see that there are VERY few counties that are blue. They must have very dense (in more ways than one) populations.

IIRC, he won re-election last year. I THINK Russia has a term limit he's now up against, but do not quote me on whether it does (or whether Putin is of a mind to follow it).

Sad you swallowed the crap the Rev. "Jesus Christ" Moon's crappy newspaper fed you about Russia smuggling out the WMD.

The one nand only named source for that story was a man named "Shaw" a supporter of Chalabi and who is under investigation by the FBI - and his words are just specu;ation based o the hearsay of two un-named Europeans.

Wise up. You were had.

Don't put words in my mouth. There are other sources that indicate Russians were there (or still there) shortly before we got there. I did not claim to know what they were doing. I'm saying that it seems likely that Putin does not want us to know.

PS: Yes -a handful of ex Soviet air defense people serving as mercenaries were in Iraq for obvious reasons but that had nothing to do with the missing WMD or explosives.

Ah, c'mon. You mean to see you can't see what little game CNN is up to here?

Why dodn't they instead refer to them as "President Putin and President Bush" instead of using Democrat talking points portraying them in roles which they no longer hold nor roles in which they now operate as friends?

I haven't seen CNN refer today to Kerry and Edwards as "Former Vietnam War Protestor and Ambulance-chasing trial lawyer", have you?

Wake up and smell the coffee.

"I see a lot of death coming to terrorists of all stripes in the next four years."

We are waiting for the KGB and Mossad to reach out bring death to the super rich who have financed terrorism which has killed innocents around the world.

When about a dozen of these super rich elites and their organizations take a dirt nap, terrorism will shrink down to very minimal actions.

Of course all leaders like Ben Laden must stop breathing and uttering threats soon.
