That's been my opinion for many years. Giving him a legitimate role only encouraged other terrorists. He never was held accountable for the airliners that he hijacked and burned in 1970.
Clinton gave him legitimacy, Bush never did!
Of course his condition took a turn for the worse---he had been watching CNN for the past 3 years and was certain that that cowboy Bush would defeated by the nuanced French-looking candidate. That's why Arafat asked to be taken to a Paris hospital---to receive Kerry on his "homecoming." Now, he can't look forward to 4 years of using terrorism to get Washington to strongarm Israel for more concessions to the PLO.
where do we send the don't get well cards? My conscience is counselling Christian charity, but it is not there.
