25 Goals Conservatives Achieved in the 2004 Election
CRITICAL GOALS
1. Retained United States Presidency.
2. Retained ability to nominate United States Supreme Court Justices.
3. Retained majority in the United States Senate.
4. Retained majority in the United States House of Representatives.
IMPORTANT GOALS
5. Increased majority in the United States Senate.
6. Won the United States Presidency with a plurality of the Popular Vote.
7. Retained ability to block nomination of William Clinton to United Nations Secretary General.
8. Defeated Tom Daschle for Senator of South Dakota (Present and soon to be former United States Senate Minority Leader).
9. Retained majority of State Governorships.
10. All 11 states voting on a Gay Marriage Ban passed their measures:
Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Utah.
NICE TO HAVE GOALS
11. Won the United States Presidency with over 50% of the Popular Vote.
12. Increased majority in the United States House of Representatives.
13. Increased majority of State Governorships (provided Washington does not slip away).
14. Mel Martinez won for Senator from Florida (replacing the seat left by Bob Graham).
15. Katherine Harris won for Representative from Florida.
16. Johnny Isakson won for Senator from Georgia (replacing the seat left by Zell Miller).
17. Won the United States Presidency with the largest Popular Vote ever.
18. Won the Popular Vote for the United States Presidency in the State of North Carolina (home state of John Edwards).
19. Won the Popular Vote for the United States Presidency in the State of Arkansas (home state of William Clinton).
20. Won the Popular Vote for the United States Presidency in the State of Tennessee (home state of Al Gore).
21. Defeated Martin Frost for Representative from Texas (representative who fled state to avoid his legislative duties).
22. Defeated Charles Stenholm for Representative from Texas (representative who fled state to avoid his legislative duties).
23. Won the United States Presidency with a majority of States.
24. Overwhelmingly won the United States Presidency with a majority of Counties.
25. Overwhelmingly won the United States Presidency with a majority of Square Miles of the Country.

Not to pick, but don't forget Missouri - voted and passed in August, even though the Dem's managed to force the amendment onto the Primary election to keep it off November!
You are most welcome! Truly, as I sat up last night going over just what we had achieved I absolutely wanted to share it with those who have helped shape my current understanding of our country. And we all know, the Old Media would NEVER entertain publishing any list to this effect.
Thank you for the information (and I certainly don't consider it "picking"). The more we as a group can marshal our facts, the greater and faster progress we will make.
26) Elected the first Republican senator from Louisiana
I already posted, but had another key victory I wanted to list.
Namely the inroads made among minority voters. We got double the prior votes among blacks. And often majorities of latino voters. This success will likely impact future elections. This is huge...

Actually, Stenholm and Frost did not flee the state. Only Texas House and Senators fled the state, not Congressmen. Just wanted to alert you. Go on celebrating!
Bill Clinton should NOT be knowingly put ANYWHERE where we taxpayers are further supporting him, like hugely (at present) underwriting the U.N.....let's not in ANY way endorse his continued escapades and past treason...let some other country do it or let him get a real job....he's doing real well as a speaker, getting monies no doubt from public universities and other sources we haven't paid enough attention to....
