This is typical of these so called Progressives and it's the same reason why their hero's Utopian visions always end up in bloodshed with millions dead. The only voice that matter to them is their own. Representative democracy is okay with them as long as they are the only ones represented.

I just hopped on FR to see if anyone was listening to the garbage both Matthews and Gregory were putting forth. Listening to Matthews describe Bush's victory as a failure because he couldn't unite the nation like FDR was one of the most ignorant things I ever heard. This guy...in callaboration with his media minions, has almost made it impossible for this country to be united on anything.

The fact that these people still continue to blame Bush for the division in this country when they have done nothing but attack and degrade this president for over 2 years is disgusting. Bush has reveresed and achieved unprecendented victories in these last 4 years...and Matthews and some other Democrats still have the nerve to describe his victory as a failure?

I am amazed at the utter denial that still exists within some quarters of the Democrat Party. These people waged an all out war against this president...and they still lost. And just like a liberal...they have to raise the bar and call this victory a failure because Bush didn't take the whole country? Someone needs to show Chrissy the map.

Not an old proverb. Napolean said: "Never interfere when your enemy is making a mistake."

Me too; I'm not looking forward to when my PWS (Politics Withdrawl Syndrome) kicks in. Whatever will I do?

Hey, we could start a "Trash the Department of Education" revolt. We could put the money spent in upgrading VA Hospitals...

Won't be much of a civil war--we'll have guns and all the liberals will be armed with handbags.

And lattes! Don't forget the lattes.

And cell phones! They'll surely have their cell phones in their handbags, right?

Jeez, tough bunch.

I don't think there is going to be a Democrat civil war, I think we are going to see the Moderates jumping ship to the Republican party.

And quite frankly, I welcome them. I would love to have the Zell Miller's part of the GOP.

Just imagine the next election, Sen. so-and-so, who was a Dem switched to the Rep party in Feb-05 and Congressman so-and-so who switched in Jun-05 have given their full support to Rudy and will be giving keynote speaches.

This was a decisive win last night, expect a land-slide next election cycle.

I think Nebraska's Ben Nelson is the only Senator who could switch. Maybe there are others, but I can't think of any.

One of Chris's ugly minions (they all look alike--Matthews' Woofers) explained the Great Divide by saying it's the Starbucks people against the Dunkin' Donuts people!

What elitist crap!

Hardball is unwatchable since little Ronny came onboard. They should replace him with Zell Miller.

Two ways to look at this.

The Dems did come close to unseating a wartime President. Noteworthy. More noteworthy the came close with an unattractive candidate. The negative for them is they invested a ton of emotional energy doing so. And with the exit poll fiasco of yesterday, it is political equivalent of the Bill Buckner play in 1986. I don't know if they can pyschologically recover from this.

The other way to look at it is they came at us with everything, ethical and unethical and we won and expanded our power base doing so.

The Left. How can you not love them?

They are so consistently pointed in the wrong direction and spinning things the wrong way. Hope they don't change and just keep loosing elections and then blaming someone else. There should be a name for this mental condition.

They are in absolute denial, saying Bush has no mandate, we're deeply divided, Bush is in for a rough road, etc.

Can you remind me again who won the Presidency? Who picked up seats in the Senate? Who picked up seats in the House. And who controls all three?

Why does Ron Reagan even have a job? I'll bet any of us here on FR could do his job -- and do it much better.

Very few here could stoop down that low.

He's hired to bash Republicans. Ironic when you think that he wouldn't have that job if his father wasn't the most beloved Republican of them all.

Ron Reagan, and the biased media schmucks, should be ashamed of themselves.

explained the Great Divide by saying it's the Starbucks people against the Dunkin' Donuts people!

Since Michael Moore is a blue state kind of guy, does that mean we get the Starbucks?
