They hate us but LOVE our money - my trips to Toronto stopped a long time ago - let's see what they think when our tourist dollars dry up.
Their Minister of Tourism was all over US television last time this idiot made her rude remarks saying Canadians loved Americans and welcomed us to visit- no more dear lady.

We're out of step with the rest of the world?!

Here's a news flash for you Carolyn:

WE DON'T CARE!

We The People who just sent George W. Bush back to the White House for four more years, are Americans who just don't give a damn how we look to the rest of the world.
Why should we expend precious energy trying to impress the assholes at the UN who break our laws here while shielding themselves with "Diplomatic Immunity"? I do not speak of parking tickets and jay-walking violations. Far more egregious crimes than those are committed by these scum sucking foreign "dignitaries". Some of them felonies. Why should we try to improve our standing in their eyes? Why should we supplicate ourselves to the Secretary General and his minions when he and others at the top of the UN hierarchy got rich from the sale of Iraqi oil? Oil that was to be sold for the purpose of providing food for the people of Iraq. Oil that was NOT to be sold so that the French and the Germans and the Russians could take that cash from Sadaam in exchange for arms and nuclear technology. Deals that were going on with Kofi Annan's full knowledge while the French and the Germans and the Russians were doing everything they could to forestall the United States' entry into Iraq to put an end to this madness once and for all. All the while, they were screaming that George W. Bush is mad dog and that they occupied the moral high ground by insisting that the very same United Nations give sanctions more time and issue more resolutions that Sadaam comply with weapons inspections efforts.

Is THAT the high ground where we should look for international "friends" to impress with affected airs of dignified behavior and sensitivity? Bull cookies. Screw them. We don't care what they think anymore.
The UN is a non-entity in our view. Send the whole operation to Sweden and raze the building and put up something useful...like a casino.
We are the future of this country. We will take back what is ours by birthright and expose and expel those who have fraternized and frolicked with those who would do us harm. Yesterday, the Bush Administration won its mandate from people like me. Millions of us who are sick to death of people like you. You and the rest of the world will see that this is the way it is to be. You are irrelevant. The UN is irrelevant.
You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

I think Bush's "immediate concern" is to keep American civilians from dying on our own soil. 9/11...remember? We went to Afghanistan and Iraq to defend ourselves, to prevent another attack, and she thinks it's a problem? Were Germany and Japan "problems" in 1941-45?

I'm proud that we're out of step with the world. The rest of the world is pretty fu*cked up if you ask me.

With a few exceptions of course.

But really, what do I care what those socialists think?

Americans are "out of step" with the rest of the world, says a Liberal MP

Or, as I prefer to see it, the rest of the world, including this particular Liberal MP, is out of step with America.

That is their misfortune, not ours.

Again to all FR, do not take the utterances of Parrish as a reflection of true canadian sentiment.Plus our MSM is even worse then yours, it is actually government sponsored. The CRTC,(communication commission) actually ruled that we couldn't get FOX news because it was contrary to canadian values but it granted permission for cable co's to air AL JAZEERA. Can you guys please come and invade???

Carolyn Parrish said Wednesday that she's "dumbfounded" by Bush's victory.

Nahh, she just dumb.

American voters showed that they are "completely out of step with most of the free world," Parrish said.

And that Carolyn, is what makes us the greatest country in the world. Why be in step with everyone else when you can be better.

Methinks thou does need to have thy meds adjusted.

Best Regards

Sergio

Yup, ignore her rants. She's a non-entity and a idiot. She isn't taken seriously here at all.

The best thing that will happen is she'll be forced to shut up because the liberal government doesn't want to antagonize the NEWLY-ELECTED (yeah!!) President Bush for another 4 years.

If the U.S. is 'out of step' with the real world, then the rest of the 'real world' had better get some rhythm training!

When you spend more money confiscating your citizens firearms than you do on national defense, I'd strongly suggest you sit down and Shut your F.... Mouth.

Parrish is considered a complete fool up here in normal Canada, away from "the HIll" in Ottawa, equivalent of the beltway.

You mean you have your Cynthia McKinneys also?

FR friends, you should know that Canada is a democracy in name only. Up until June the LIberals had a majority government which meant that they controlled everything. In our system there is something called "party discipline" which means that the Prime Minister dictates how all his members will vote, regardless. So it is really a dictatorship. For example,on the death penalty over 75% of the members of parliament supported its reimplementation and the prime minister did not allow a vote.

you got that right, this bitch does not speak for all Canadians, certainly not this one.....

I was shocked she was re-elected and she got just as much hate mail and phone calls on her last remark as support and Canadian talk radio was dissing her royally.....

frankly I've had it - with this bitch and all the Canadian politicians who live in John Kerryland - if she doesn't get a public reprimand at minimum, it's time to find a Canadian Karl Rove- the sooner the better.......you think Karl does consulting work, have Karl give Stephen Harper a call, LOL

Rex Murphy on CBC News last night had a wonderful commentary on the election, including a dig at her and at the Democrats, maybe I email it to the bitch, wonder if she can read........if I can find a transcript I'll post it

I am PROUD that we are "out of step" with the rest of the "world." Means we have the moral clarity to make decisions on our own. :)

Americans are "out of step" with the rest of the world

"rest" is a mighty broad word. I suggest Ms. Parrish take a course in deductive reasoning as soon as she's potty trained and able to eat solid foods.

We have her and so much more, constant continuous drivel by so many plus to add insult to injury they are doing it at our expense on the CBC the government funded TV network($2 billions).Only saving grace about that is in Canada nobody watches the CBC except for the Hockey games and this year the NHL is on strike so nobody is listening to the talking heads.
