Just crack CA along the San Andreas and we're fine.

In all seriousness, California is a BIG problem. Within the next 20-30 years, it could swell to 70 or more electoral votes. Any candidate who wins this state has 25% of what he/she needs. This is pretty disturbing.

You are right, it's a big problem when four million (plus a few) people voted for Bush in this state and Bush didn't get one single Electoral College vote. Talk about disenfranchised! We who live in the conservative part of California feel like our vote doesn't count.

What needs to be done is either break California into two states (East California and West California) or to give out the Electoral Votes proportionally, according to how the state is split percentage wise. I'm not holding my breath though.
