Just wondering, have Thune, Martinez, Vitter, DeMint, Burr, Isakson or Coburn been on any nationwide talkshows on radio or TV? I'm always curious to what the newly elected folks have to say, and haven't heard anything but Thune's victory speech.
Anybody know anything?
Thune was on Fox&Friends Wed am...
Dr. Coburn our new OK Senator-Elect is on vacation for a much needed rest after being under attack by Carson day after day!
What?
You expect the natiohal press corpse to show a winning republican?
Come on.org!
They're all on Good Mourning America is focused strictly on Christian-bashing, right-wing hatred-spewing liberals..........
SenatorS Elect.
:D sorry...I just couldn't help myself.
The media has been after Bunning too.
They seem to have targeted those two men.
Thank you for sticking in there, I don't know how you did it.
Actually, technically speaking it should be Senators-elect, with a hyphen. I confirmed this by asking several attorneys general, and I know they have the experience because they've each been present at a lot of courts-martial. They're good friends with my sons-in-law and many former poets laureate, and they always carry around armsful of law books. But it's possible they were lying to me... they could be agents provocateur.
Bunning deserves it though. He said some really stupid things during his campaign. Although I wish him no ill, it would be best for the party if he actually is sick and Fletcher can appoint someone to his seat.
Locally reported was that Thune was asked to be on GMA but passed it up to go hunting today.
Doh! I missed it. Is it online anywhere?
Burr was on Hugh Hewitt's radio show Wednesday...he spoke about how he and his fellow new senators who were from the House were used to making things happen and getting things done, and he particularly indicated that they were interested in seeing that Bush's judicial nominations go through...or else.
Bunning was quite lucky to survive. His first election in 1998 also was by a tiny margin.
Soon enough we will know if Bunning nees retiring.
Soon enough we will know if Bunning needs retiring.
All of my ex-mothers-in-law would concur.
:)
I did fail to include the hypen...my bad!
After reading your comments about Burr....I think I'm in love.
Let's hope that Senator Burr startc clearing this mess from his own state and finally helps to confirm judge Terrence Boyle to the 4th Circuit. This man is waiting for 13 years (he was first nominated by G.H.W.Bush) including last 4 (nominated in May 2001) without even a hearing. That's of course thanks to soon to be ex-senator Breck Girl.
This was the nastiest, sleeziest, lying campaign that I have ever witnessed and I thought I had seen it all. Carson's campaign was run by the Clintons from all accounts as he worked for them in the White House. We know it was run out of D.C. and Cherokee Nation (against federal law).
It was day after day of negative campaign ads that outright lied -- even a lawyer friend of Carson's told him not to run those ads because they were lies. He ran them anyways. Then Carson comes on TV/radio and says I am not going to run anymore negative ads and does anyways. He totally outspent Dr. Tom.
One thing Dr. Tom had going for him Carson didn't -- a lot of grassroots volunteers -- you cannot beat that. We beat the bushes for votes for Dr. Tom -- Carson ran totally negative ads and lied about where he stood on issues. It took the last debate to get him to admit that he supported Kerry. If he told the truth in any ad, I would be shocked.
I kept thinking -- this is exactly what Hillary would be like! Nightmare!
Thune was on Wiffleball on Wednesday night.
Thune was on Laura Ingram this morning.
I am sure proud of Okies seening through that Carson crap at the end! This could be the most conservative freshman class of Senators in a long time.
Edwards is now a Senator-REJECT!!!
Congratulations.
Thune was on Hardball last night.
