HELP US OUT ON VETERAN'S DAY ![]() Once again, KSFO Radio will display a 30-foot by 60-foot Star Spangled Banner in the San Francisco Veterans Day Parade with the help of KSFO Radio listeners. KSFO Radio listeners can register to help display this huge American flag as it moves up Market Street by clicking here. The 85th annual San Francisco Veterans Day Parade will occur on Sunday, November 7th, 2004 beginning at 1PM. The parade will begin at Second Street and Market, travel up Market Street, veer to the right at Eighth Street and proceed north on Grove Street past the reviewing stand across from City Hall. The KSFO Radio PT Cruiser will also be part of the Veterans Day parade that will feature dozens of parade entries from the Bay Areas many communities. KSFO Radios 1,800 square foot American Flag will be among the first units in the parade. Veterans Day was originally called Armistice Day in remembrance of the first World War ending on November 11, 1918; on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Armistice Day was changed to Veterans Day after the end of the Korean War. |
