Reaching out . . .
Vanity | 11/6/04 | mach9

As the MSM have so subtly hinted, we Republicans should be reaching out to heal the wounds. Suggest that the President's first such concession to our blue opponents be the appointment of Sen. John Kerry as Ambassador to France. The mind reels pondering the logic and the benefits:

1. The French obviously like him. 2. JFK's familiar with Paris having visited there, often at his own expense (feel free to expand on meaning). 3. JFK would then have an opportunity to prove his mettle in sweet-talking his amis et amies into supporting the U. S. in the war on terror. 4. Should JFK revert to type and work against the interests of the USA, hey--we've got the French to contend with. 5. He wouldn't have to attend all those pesky intelligence-briefings. 5. He'd be out of the U. S. Senate

Make Kerry the ambassador to Sudan. That way he can get a good clear view of the results of the UN and his global vision.

Kerry deserves a prison cell for treason. Period.

In all honesty, I think we really should reach out some. For once, Kerry acted with dignity when he spoke his concession speech and he is right that we finally need to heal the wounds and come together. Plus we are gonna need to, like it or not, work some with the dems so that the President can get his agenda through Congress with some semblance of form. I'm really excited about the possibilities inherent in President Bush's second term. Amb to France? At this point in our "relations," I wouldn't wish that on a dog!

Maybe someone can answer these questions for me. I am still confused.

Why do we want to reach out to the American branch of European Socialism?

Why do we want to reach out to those who would vote for a man who dishonored himself and his fellow veterans?

Why?

that is insane. he would plot overthrowing our government, like he did with the communists. at least in the senate, we know he never shows uo to vote.

No takers here. If Massachussetts wants to join the real world, they will fire his butt and he can dedicate his life to the usual 60 year-old delusional adolescent. He is rich. He can afford it.

Incidentally, did Kerrey ever hold down a real job? Ever?

Don't even go there. The Vietnam experience was simply a long range Macchiavellian plan to emulate JFK in appearance if not in fact. Yes, I also continue to question his patriotism. No role in our government is trivial enough for a shi***ad like that one.

Takers?

Kinda.

I like to reach out to our blue (literally and figuratively) opponents and...

Slap them while yelling "WAKE UP TO REALITY, MORON!.

And...

Rip the scab off their electoral wounds of Tuesday while smiling and soothingly cooing "There, there, quit your whining and let all of America see the scars of your ineptitude and failure to reason coherently."

It's not up to Republicans to reach out to the democrats, we won! It's up to them to reach out to Republicans.
