Victory = Bush wins.

Defeat = Specter becomes Judiciary Committee Chairman.

How we came even this close to getting this arrogant clown elected is even spookier.

Mongol General: We have won again. That is good! But what is best in life?

Mongol Warrior: The open steppe, fleet horse, falcon on your wrist, wind in your hair!

Mongol General: Wrong! Conan, what is best in life?

Conan: To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the women!

I don't believe Specter's got that job. He talked himself out of it real good.

Maybe he's on medication or something. I can't believe anyone in their right mind would be so brazen to speak as he did. Especially after the president assisted in his re-election.

Yes, but they are just so much more sensitive than you are.

They wanted it so much more - that was actually said on DU.

They should have won because they wanted it so much more than we did.

Actually, that quote is from Genghis Khan.

Of course, I don't object to the Governator's quoting him. Sounds like a motto to govern California by.

No, it doesn't make you a bad person. It doesn't make me a bad person either. It's just a happy feeling knowing the attacks against President Bush since he took office just strengthened his and our resolve to give him four more years. Justice was served. We won. Someone had to lose and in this case it was kerry/edwards. Do I feel bad for them? No. Why would I? I am too overwhelmed with happiness and true justice for our beloved President Bush. It was a race to the finish and our man won. Simple and pure.

I liked Conan when it came out--especially how it was photographed, and Basil Poledouris's incredible score. But over the years I noticed that each time it was on TNT I ended up watching it. I finally bought the DVD and now it's one of the best "late night" movies, along with The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and a few others.

He can be removed by the rest of the Senate Pubbies if he won't move Pres. Bush's court nominees. If he tries to hold one up because he's pro-life, he can look forward to chairing zippo.

Party discipline.

Not being critical or making fun - this is an honest question: Does Laura Bush have athritis?

Look at her pinky finger on the waving hand - it's curled. It's that way in both pics.

Is there a story I missed somewhere?

Well put. I feel better mocking them now! After the vociferous way they went after Bush on a personal level, I guess we all deserve a few years of gloating. A liberal talk show host was going on about what a liar Bush is tonight and he gets so few listeners he was forced to put on callers who mocked and laughed at him.

It's not that simple. There is a little difference between openly opposing a nominee and secretly not doing everything to support him.

Now is the window of opportunity. After next week it's too late.
