The election campaign that has mesmerized America - and the world - is over. What remains are the challenges that gave rise to this occasionally frenzied battle and the responsibility of dealing with them. . No president has faced an agenda of comparable scope. This is not hyperbole; it is the hand history has dealt this generation. Never before has it been necessary to conduct a war with neither front lines nor geographic definition and, at the same time, to rebuild fundamental principles of world order to replace the traditional ones that went up in the smoke of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. . George W. Bush will have to lead an effort to define and then maintain an international system that reflects the new, revolutionary circumstances. . . I supported Bush during the campaign. But the United States cannot tackle this agenda except in the context of a commitment by all sides to healing. All concerned with the future must find ways to cooperate so that the world will again see Americans working toward a common destiny both at home and in the community of nations.

I agree with you, with "W" we have regained the respect lost via Carter and Clinton. However, the reality is the world needs America 100 times more than America needs the world. I posted a response in defense of Kissinger based on his defense of his previous guidance. I researched it and found him to be quite genuine.
He sure is. But he's also an over-educated fool who mocked and insulted Ronald Reagan and his agenda and, as Nixon's Secretary of State, missed no opportunity to cave in to soviet communism, proclaiming that it was not only here to stay but would soon triumph over us -- and he was confidently asserting this almost right up to the time the soviet system collapsed. Quick to jump on the bandwagon when everybody else can see which way the wind is blowing, close scrutiny of his career reveals him to be one of the blindest and most self-seeking of "public servants."

Henry Kissinger’s firm, Kissinger Associates, is a secretive consulting company that is rumored to have many major nations, including some that are our enemies, as clients. Publicly, the propaganda regarding his firm states that it facilitates deals that enhance our financial relationships with other countries. The true purpose is always to further the foreign policy ambitions of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and the Shadow Government. I believe this firm is the tool used to dictate our true foreign policy. Many of the movers and shakers in the world today obtain approval of Kissinger associates before making any major foreign policy or trade decisions. The client list is so secretive, that recently Mr. Kissinger resigned as chairman of the 9/11 investigation rather than divulge the names of his clients.
We have to be aware of the "Uriah Heeps" out there plotting and planning to co-opt the 2004 conservative victory for their own secret agendas.
They would manhandle the social conservative victory----and dilute the presidential mandate conferred by proto-conservatives----for their own self-serving agendas.
The "Uriah Heeps" could care less for the rights of the unborn and the restoration of conservative values to our Nation-----the proto-conservative issues that drove millions of Christians to the polls.
The agenda-laden, elliptical thinkers lurk in the shadows plotting ways to take over conservative victories.
It ain't gonna happen.
Any mucking up of our hard-won conservative victory will be met with fierce resistance.
Moral issues were this election's key to victory, and moral issues will set the agenda.
You have to wonder who is paying Kissinger to make these comments, although I'd gladly wager a guess, and I would be right.

I hope I don't live long enough, but it is coming, faster than I hoped for.
Human beings have tremendous difficulties agreeing about facts, let alone in setting goals. Culture is critical in finding common ground among peoples. American freedom was derived from and defended by adherents Anglo-Saxon culture. If we dillute that any more, it will die. If we expect our global neighbors to follow in our footsteps, we'd be mistaken.
We'd better start taking a hard look at survival in a world where our culture is as foreign as a lunar ladnscape to most of our earthly cohabitants.
Bush is with the Cowboys now. LOST has not gone through as of yet. It'll be interesting to see if it ever does. I have my doubts now that Bush truly understands that treaty.
It would certainly be interesting to see his reaction, if he ever does learn the truth. His Dad knew and he was for it.
Here in Austin, liberal pundits were aghast that the Bilderberger-selected Edwards was on a losing ticket, and are purportedly panicking. The Bilderbergs, panicking.
