The admin pulled the original thread for "language", just as I was posting this response. So here's the original article, reposted with the "language" ... ah ... "moderated".

In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled Open Letter: Reach out and sneer - Dem radicals speak to the Red States..., trashcanbred wrote:
You know these blue States really cannot talk. Too many of their suburbs went Bush (I am in NJ and my county went 60% Bush) and the burbs are not full of idiots... most of them are knowledgeable workers these cities live off of.

And I'm in Kent County, Delaware. We're a small state, with only three counties. Kent and Sussex in the south are mostly rural, and New Castle in the north is much less so, with the state's only major city, Wilmington. Kent went for Bush 56% to 43%, and Sussex by 60% to 40%, but mosty because of the large black population in the city of Wilmington, New Castle went for Kerry by 60% to 39% .... totally swamping out the rest of the state's voters.

So, because of one city, Delaware is condemned to "blue state" status.

See the data here: Results by county.

I'm sure that there's a graphic available somewhere showing results by precinct, but I'm not going to look for it, as I'm not really interested in seeing my breakfast again ....

President Kerry would have helped us to help you, which is all that we ask.

Pardon me while I barf on your shoes.

(And they wonder why we loathe them.)

Why must our leftist adversaries resort to such vulgarity in expressing themselves? Maybe it's just another indicator of their (lack of) character. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I wonder if they understand this? -

No disrespect intended towards our hero, Ronald Reagan, but it was the best face (under the circumstances) that I could think of at the moment to protect the (thus far) innocent faces.

What you say? No tirade? No opine? No synopsis, or analysis of what happened last week? That's because (as you can tell from the photo), we're FINISHED talking. As is the left.

May the Lord of Hosts have mercy on us all...but especially the left!

I know. It makes me sick too. I live below the canal (southern NCC). Big Republican base, but evidentally not enough.

So, on the bright side, does this mean "Osama" won't attack Delaware and all the "blue" states? /sarcasm off

Your primary and secondary schools will continue to turn out third-rate pupils with limited opportunities, while you enjoy the satisfaction of making it on your own without health care when a catastrophic illness bankrupts your family.

The liberals own the schools and have for forty years or more...so who is it turning out third rate pupils....bwahahahahaa

No insurance?...thanks to your freaking TRIAL LAWYERS....who have broken doctors, nurses, and hosptials...driven doctors out of some states and even out of their professions...

09-11 Perhaps you heard of it...but I know...I know...if we would only surrender to rapists, theives, and murderers their would be no crime...no wars...

No wonder Dems want free dope for everyone...in order to escape the reality you have created...

I should note that this is an extremely well-rendered, pithy piece of writing. Whoever wrote this is not dumb. But boy, talk about toxic. Really, really venemous stuff here.

The media has done us a terrible dis-service in labeling states red and blue. Why not a more realistic purple for MANY that split right down the middle for the 2 candidates? And in all "blue" states are so many red counties. They are doing their best to divide us as they have for 4+ years now with this map. In all previous elections I do not recall a division like this of how we voted. The vote was tallied and we all moved on. What a different world 5 weeks of Al Gore and his tedious, hate-filled re-count has created. And it's probably with us forever.

If I'd only realized what an inbred, gap-toothed hick I and the majority of American voters are, I surely would have just shut up and let my enlightened intellectual superiors in the Blue states vote for me.

I love these guys. I really do. Sneering condescension always works with me.

They just don't get it, do they? They're going to continue like this until they have no party left.

Ya know, it's reading these that demands our 2006 victory.
THEY'RE already starting their work.
As are we.

"We must," says Camembert, "learn to speak to all of the people. But we mustn't be afraid to sneer when we do it."

Now if that isn't the way to win friends and influence people! Holy crap Batman, these libs are beyond nuts.

To what could this not be applied?

I would far rather be a dirt-poor christian than a heathen academian.

After adjusting for cost of living, the 'blue states' dont do any better than most red states, and many do a lot worse after adjusting for taxes at the state, federal and local levels.

Good points -- the libs certainly specialize in projecting their failings onto others.

Always remember others may hate you but those who hate you don't win unless you hate them. And then you destroy yourself.

Dear Commandante:

I find the statement "Your enemies are the greedy multinationals that the Republican Party bends over backwards to accommodate." quite amusing considering that Kerry's biggest supporters are the sinister "philanthropist" George Soros and the Trial Lawyers that have gutted health care in so many states.

I'll stick with Bush.

F**k no, not me!!!!!!

In fact, I was a bit p*$$ed-O**, because I'd just spent 5 minutes typing, only to have it be wasted, when I couldn't post the reply!!!

Seems to me that there ought to be a different policy on offensive (to some) language in content of articles versus comments from freeepers, but what do I know...

Wow great graphic. Look at Pennsylvania and even Illinois. Lots of red counties that supported Bush.
