Any information on military absentees? They were sent out late. I heard a woman yesterday on the radio state that only two of the requested ones had been received by her son's unit. It was convenient for the dems that the bickering over whether Nader was to be on the ballot ended up with the absentee ballots being mailed late.

But..but.. these people NEED a voice. We can't disenfranchise them 3 TIMES, their votes should be counted. /sarcasm off

Hell, we can't even put multiple repeat drunk drivers in jail. Sadly they're on the street until they kill themselves, or worse yet, someone else.

No info on military ballots at all. My posting is from the Journal website; I rely on you guys for KKOB, Channel 13, etc. We get neither one downhere in SE NM.

I registered by mail as a Republican here in California before the legal deadline. I show up on election day and guess what? I'm not registered, which somehow didn't surprise me. I asked for and was given a provisional ballot, but my vote won't count if the original registration somehow got "lost". I have since read of many instances of the same thing happening all over the country, but only to Republicans it seems.

Everyone who handles the registration is a government employee with all the built-in biases of government employees. This is yet another form the vote fraud takes.

Though California is a hopelessly "blue" state, the media and the electorate also examine the overall vote totals and winning margin. No votes are wasted votes.

I registered as an R in Albuquerque (the MVD office)
in April and you guessed it no registration was recieved by
my home precinct in Santa Fe before the primaries.

My registration directly with the SF County Clerk did take
and I was a card carrying member of the evyl GOP by election day.

I was lucky, I guess. I was registered in Albuquerque, but moved to Rio Rancho in June. Changed my registration with a group at Wal-Mart (probably ACORN) and got my voter registration (R) within a few weeks. I kind of expected problems at the polls, but none arose. Heard people on KKOB that weren't so fortunate.

**"In counting the first 5,000 provisional ballots," Fund reported, "observers turned up 53 instances of individuals voting more than once. They also found four voters who were dead and dozens of felons attempting to vote. In two cases, the same individual tried to vote three times: early, absentee and on Election Day."**

Let me guess -- they were all dims.

Some math from the post above. 16000 provisionals outstanding. One county sees 75% valid. Other counties a lower percentage. But let's be pessimistic and say 75% is average

That leaves 12000 to be voted. The president's lead is 8300ish. So Kerry has to win 8300 of the 12000 plus 1/2 of the remaining 3700 to catch up, or 10160.

That's a very high percentage win. 10160 of 12000 is 84%.

The only danger is it getting close enough for a recount.

I calculate a fraud rate of >1.6%. It would be interesting to know who the fraud would have benefited. I believe felons are reliably Democratic.

From a poster on the other thread:

State Police investigating voter fraud

Last Update: 11/09/2004 8:20:58 AM
By: Reed Upton

New Mexico State Police are investigating allegations of voter fraud – including one instance in which an as-of-yet unnamed woman is being connected with up to 200 bogus ballots.

“One of my employees can identify one person that did bring in the majority of those [registration] cards that we didn’t enter into our rolls because addresses didn’t exist,” said Bernalillo County Clerk Mary Herrera, explaining why her office disqualified several provisional ballots.

Provisional ballots are ballots that voters are allowed to cast if the voter’s name isn’t on the voter roll at their polling place. Before they are counted, the county clerk verifies that the voter is actually registered.

Herrera says roughly 25 percent of the provisional ballots in Bernalillo County have been rejected as invalid. Now that those in-lieu-of ballots have been sorted, the vote counting begins.

Currently, one percentage point of the vote total separates President George Bush from Senator John Kerry in the race to claim New Mexico’s five electoral votes.

"...an as-of-yet unnamed woman is being connected with up to 200 bogus ballots."

Whose covering for her? I want her name and party affiliation.

You know if she were a Republican, it would be plastered everywhere. Sounds like she was handing in registrations. What group was she affiliated with?

I can see it now- The Demofrauds whining about the poor little homeless wretch whom they bribed with a rock of cocaine, and a carton of cigarettes, and a bowl of soup being hauled off to jail just because they vanned him to seventeen polling places. "Look at what the heartless Republicans want to do to this poor slob! Just because he wanted to change the world!"

I think that severe penalties and the ENFORCEMENT of same would make gullible porridge-skulled college losers hesitate to play the fraud game. Every fraudulent vote disenfranchises an honest American! This can be presented in way that even the morons can keep up with.
