Here's FReeper precedent...... Clinton's A Liar holding a full page FReeper add. May 1999
Then there is also the better Washington Crying add in January of that year I believe..

You can count me in for $20. This is a wonderful idea. Moore would go crazy. It would be all over the news.

LOL, GREAT IDEA!
I bet it would cost a bundle, thousands at least, but it would be easy to find out how much, I'd chip in for sure. If we could get it picked up on "the corner" and in "opinion journal" we might get some folks to put up some big bucks.

Looks like a full page ad would run just under $10k.... That's ony a buck apiece for 10000 Freepers.
Ten bucks apiece from 1000 Freepers.
A hundred from a hundred Freepers.
If the payers of the ad got their names "signed" at the bottom, I think it's very doable!

OK, I'm in for $100. The next thing we have to do is contact Variety, get their ad specs and make sure they will print something like that. I wouldn't doubt if they said no. Let's see if Registered will agree to do something, or how about that woman who does the great cartoons? Her name is Linda? Any other suggestions?

I can't contribute much, but count me in.
Your statement of intent in post #13 is right on. He did fire the first shot.

It would offset another
Variety campaign I learned about last evening. That would be the one Streisand and company are putting on to encourage the Academy to vote
Fahrenheit 9/11 "Best Picture" as a means of giving the finger to that part of unenlightened America that had the temerity to vote against Her Highness's wishes.
These folks have nothing but contempt for us.

OK, apparently a b/w full page ad in the daily national edition runs $7,320. That is not unreasonable at all. I think I can get somebody to do the artwork for us for nothing. She just wants to be anonymous. This is how I think it can work. First, I have to call Variety and see if they'll take the ad. Second, we have to raise the money. I'll see if FR can help me out with credit card payments or if this is something we have to do by ourselves. IF it is, we'll figure it out. Then, I will have the people who contribute the money make the final approval on the artwork. It's not so much what we do graphically, it's the message. I think this will make some news!!!!
OK people, tell me what you think.

Please see post #36. I was also made aware that it might be cheaper and more targeted to print it in the Hollywood Daily edition. I can't seem to get the price from the website. The link just doesn't work. But that's a decision I want the people who donate to make. Anyway, let's keep this thread going and see what we come up with. I'm willing to do the work, but only if I know people really will donate money.
