Read as, I have blustered but looking at Jeffords I don't want to end up as bench fodder.
By allowing him to "stay" a Republican, he could become a plant for the Demoncats. Any Republican that would be so quick to jump to another party doesn't deserve any respect period.
Please refrain from posting pictures of Helen Thomas, now you can see why she has been moved back several rows at the WH press briefings.
ROFLMAO!!
I agree with that argument. I don't care for Chafee, but the fact of the matter is that he voted to confirm Priscilla Owen, Janice Rogers Brown, Bill Pryor, Miguel Estrada and Charles Pickering. I'd rather have him voting with us some of the time than not at all.
If only Zell would cross the aisle
What the hell is holding him back
Think Dasshole, Caffee. That's your fate in two years if you don't get your head out of our rear and get with the President's program.
Puh-leeeeeze! Can I interpret: The dems convinced me to stay as a repub because I can be a good snitch for the dems. Ya know .. report on those closed-door repub meetins' and such.
The only thing blowing in our direction is the stench of the lying, sniveling democrats.
You talkin' to me...or that mouse in yer pocket?
FMCDH(BITS)
Well, he doesn't want to lose his power.
At the moment, nothing is more important than justices.
We take that avenue of power away from the Dems, and we score a massive win for America. If Chaffee votes to confirm our justices, I'll bear his record on other matters.
Tax reform is the other biggie, imo.
Part of the reason the Dems are going insane is that they don't control the flow of money anymore. This is how they buy their votes. If we cut dependence of the population on government for their financial needs, this is going to slowly cause implosion within the base of their party.
I'd also like to see school vouchers taken nationally. Education by educators of our choice offers another death knell towards Liberalism.
This is all off topic, of course.
The reason Chafee is staying in the Party is because there is more value to being a Liberal Republican than there is to being a newly minted Dem. He gets face time on the MSM, slightly positive coverage, he gets to be fawned over, and Dems reward him for breaking ranks. Jeffords blew it. His usefulness ended when Republicans expanded the majority.
Also, I think..the Reps may have expanded the majority enough to remain in the majority even if all the Libs departed. It would be close, but Cheney would be a tie breaker. It really is a lose/lose situation for Chafee to leave.
Chafee is an attention whore.
He does this crap every other year.
Leaks stuff to the press that he might switch...and when he get the attention that he is crying for....states that he won't leave.
He is like a spoiled sority girl.
I say kick his sorry can to the curb.....and send Arlen and Sue with him.
HEY MR. PRESIDENT.......HOW IS THE ENDORSEMENT OF ARLEN WORKING OUT FOR YA?
When will the GOP learn?
exactly
HA!
I would have loved to have seen the look on Jeffords face in 2002 when the Republicans made gains and took the Senate!
When is Chafee up for re-election and is there anyone out there that is a true Republican that can win against him?
WHere did you get that picture of Senator Clinton?
He's is retiring and his term of office expires this coming January when his Republican replacement takes the oath of office.
I was vacationing down in Arkansas
