U.S. Army psyops unit to Fallujah insurgents: "Come and kill us."
Posted on 11/10/2004 3:37:38 PM PST by no.radar
Chicago Tribune, 10 Nov 04 (Excerpt from article entitled "GIs punch into Fallujah center")...
"A U.S. psychological operations unit broadcast a message in Arabic over a loudspeaker in an attempt to draw out insurgents. 'Brave terrorists, I am waiting here for the brave terrorists. Come and kill us. Plant small bombs on roadsides. Attention, attention, terrorists of Fallujah.'"
Related Tribune article also reports of a Humvee with a loudspeaker blaring Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries," the music used in the helicopter attack scene in "Apocalypse Now."
FINALLY...a war-effort contibution from Hollywood!

Wagner is good. But I've heard the jihadis can't stand Metallica. A good amp, good speakers and a CD player with Enter Sandman, No Leaf Clover, and a few other choice favoites on a loop setting.

"For Whom The Bell Tolls" might be a "sound" choice. Or possibly "Holy Wars" by Megadeth. Maybe if they can find a way to translate the lyrics into Arab.

I always thought that Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" in "Apocolypse Now" was symbolically calling the US troops a bunch of NAZI's. The reason is the obvious love that Hitler had of Wagner's music and anti-semetism and the fact many Jews went to their deaths in gas chambers and ovens with Wagner blaring over the loud speakers.
I am not overcome with joy that we would be playing Wagner... if anything the Arabs would love to hear music from someone who equally hated the Jews.

That might get a rise out of those little jihadist terrorists.

USMC Psyops:
A Marine sticks his head around a corner in Fallujah and shouts, "1 Marine can kill 10 camel-fornicating terrorists!"
10 terrorists race around the corner. There is a brief flurry of gunfire.
The Marine sticks his head back around the corner and shouts, "1 Marine can kill 100 camel-fornicating terrorists!"
This time, 100 terrorists race around the corner. There is another flurry of gunfire, longer this time.
The Marine sticks his head around the corner a third time and shouts, "1 Marine can kill 1000 camel-fornicating terrorists!"
1,000 terrorists, shouting "ALLAH AKHBAR!" at the top of their lungs, charge around the corner. There is an enormous amount of gunfire.
Finally, one terrorist staggers back around the corner with multiple bullet holes. He collapses on the ground and shouts:
"It's...it's...a trap!" (GASP GURGLE CHOKE) "There are TWO Marines back there!"

Brave terrorists, I am waiting here for the brave terrorists. Come and kill us. Plant small bombs on roadsides. Attention, attention, terrorists of Fallujah.LOL Reminds me of bottles clinking together to the chant of "Warriors, come out and plaaaaay!"
Personally, I'd have "War Ensemble" and "Bitter Peace" by the metal band SLAYER blasting from the speakers. (Those songs quicken the pulse, highten the senses, and get me ready for a bit of the old ultra-violent.) All interspersed with "We've got your 72 virgins right here! Come and get them!"
Still, taunting them by insulting their precious Arab "honor" seems like a good way to draw the bastards out of their holes and into their graves where they belong.

But don't play any Barry Manilow. That's against the Geneva Convention 'n stuff...
