Japan was supposedly tracking the sub to identify it - whatever happened to that?

Intruding sub (into Japanese waters yesterday) has slowed down to a very slow speed. is heading north north-east in/through the East China sea. theories are that it is heading back to a nuclear sub base in China at Zoshan. (latest per Japanese TV news 11:30 a.m. Eastern time Thursday).
