I'd also like to reccommend "Origins of the American Revolution"

I have a copy of Origins on my bookshelf -- waiting to be read. I collect books at used bookshops around the country and always have some on had for reading.

I'm finishing "War and Remembrance" by Herman Wouk now. Maybe I'll read Origins next. Thanks for the tip.

Get a copy of David Hackett Fischer's recent "Washington's Crossing". Washington's desperate gamble on the night crossing of Christmas Eve 1776 and the subsequent victories at Trenton and Princeton may change your mind.
