In addition, it's not the Sunnis that are coming out of Iran: it is a majority Shia population.

The guys coming in from Iran are a "little" better trained than your average pissed-off Muslim.

As much as I hate the NY Slimes, I stil wonder that once Fallujah is cleared of terrorists, how long will it stay cleared? Once we pull back and the rebuliding begins, will the terrorists move right back in?

Yes, some will move right back in and there will be some new recruits. But only "some" because some are now deceased, and others, including potential new recruits, are now thinking: "Things weren't too bad when we owned this place, but do I really want to stand up to the US military and go to heaven right now?" Some will answer the question with a "yes", and then the process of "smoke 'em out, get 'em runnin', and bring 'em to justice" will continue over and over until their numbers decline and the Iraqi forces slowly take over the process of "smoking 'em ..." Won't this all take a long time? Yes.

Question 7) Will the NYT ever give us credit for anything good that happens in Iraq?
Question 8) If Friedman makes a leap off the NYT building, will anyone be around to catch him?
Question 9) When the NYT says mend fences with Iran, does that include surrendering and bending over as well?

I almost threw a brick through the boob tube last night when this simpleton was on with Russert. And Russert had that goofy half-smile plastered on his face the whole time.
