Peterson had the misfortune of a jury of his peers. OJ had the fortune of a jury of non-peers.
Peterson should not die.
There's just enough doubt there for me to reject that in this case.
Without physical or eyewitness evidence there should be no death penalty imposed ever.
Besides, lethal injection is a far more humane punishment than spending the remainder of your life in a cell.
I respectfully disagree. Peterson has now been convicted of a double murder, one of which is first degree.
He should have been shuffled out the back door or the courthouse immediately and hung from the nearest tree.
About the Peterson jury, what did they base their guilty verdict on? I have a strong feeling that Scott Peterson murdered Laci and Conner. But the jury has to decide whether it was proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Did the jury see evidence that the public wasn't allowed to see?
Oh they were peers alright. They may not have been Hollywood celebs but they were peers in the only category that mattered for OJ.
Rarely do they impose the death penalty for a first crime..and a spousal murder in that county I heard..I am convinced beyond all doubt he did it..and it was a cruel crime but I doubt he'll get death..He is so coldblooded I believe he deserves it.
I read the transcripts..
I'm all for tying anchors to him and tossing him overboard.
Most wrongful convictions are based on faulty eyewitness testimony.
You're right. Execution is too easy for this monster.
I believe he did it, too.
However, I prefer a standard of within a reasonable doubt for conviction, but a standard of absolutely certain irreversibility for the death penalty.
Well, I agree with you. I think he's guilty too, but I'll always have a sliver of doubt (unless he confesses or more evidence turns up).
I have to agree. I think he's guilty but I haven't seen a thing that would remove the doubts I have. The doubts are small but I couldn't honestly vote for guilty based on the crappy case this DA put together.

With Scott being the "pretty boy" that he is, I imagine that will happen.
And if they accidentally lock Greta and all the lawyers in the gas chamber with him, I won't cry.
The guy was obviously guilty, only those lacking common sense would agree. And when you lack common sense, you can come up with all sorts of 'doubts' to sooth your mind...
