"By sunset on Saturday American tanks and armoured fighting vehicles had achieved their objective, penetrating the last rebel stronghold in the south and facing the final pockets of resistance from insurgents."

Its Miller Time.

The US military is rewriting The book.

I like the Israelis, but their myth is dated.

Here's your plan Mr. Kerry! So much for his claim of no plan for Iraq, eh?

This reporter doesn't understand that Marines do not believe in "fair" fights.

None of this was strategy. It was all tactics. The strategy is to defeat world Islamism. The tactics are the methods used to that end.

masked and uniformed rebels

Uniformed? I didn't see any "uniformed" terrorists or insurgents.

"Deception and mass firepower were key to success"

Deception = 2%; Loud Speakers = 1%; Massive Firepower = 97%

Grunts = 100%

1,200 insurgents, many of them foreigners from Iran, Chechnya, Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries

"Insurgents" from foreign countires? NOT.

We're talking terrorists here plain and simple -- time for the Euro media to admit it.

The Americans had learnt their lesson from the previous aborted attempt to seize control of Fallujah from the rebel insurgents and foreign terrorists in April. Then there were too few American troops and too many civilian casualties.

They could've done it in April, and probably should have, but the politicians made them quit.

Now rename the place "Camp Pendleton East" and set up a nice big permanent base in the middle of town, levelling enough of the dirty terrorist havens nearby to create a nice parade ground.

What about the 1,800 insurgents that weren't killed?
