Impressive.
I remember seeing the Superman movie as a kid. Aren't the Kerry sections on the fault line? They might secede whether they want to or not.
Perhaps an earthquake will aid them - Like be careful what you wish for -
Come on, let a few counties become a country, let them create utopia right there. They will have the best propaganda of any socialist country ever, they'll have Hollywood.
Excellent point - Washington and Oregon are the same way. They can keep the Blue Counties - we'll just fence them off and then see how long it takes them to starve to death. (Or litigate and tax each other to death.)
Love it!!!! I live in a that mecca of blue Los Angeles, but I'm a red state kinda gal.!
How will these blue states secede, when many of the counties are red counties, like California, Oregon, and Washington.
It does amaze me how conservative San Diego County is!
Remember the old joke?
Why doesn't California fall into the ocean?
Cause New Jersey sucks!
Kinda makes the words, "Fault Line," go into a different meaning, huh?
Here in Washington there has been a movement for many years for the eastern side of the state (along with some of the southern counties) to form their own state along with eastern Oregon. In both states, the Senators and Presidential results are skewed by just a few Blue Zone counties.
If we could just eliminate King County here, we'd be a Red State.
They secede much further and they'll be swimmin with the sharks...hmmm..sounds good to me!!
Did you mean Nevada?
What is it about water that creates these liberal bastions?
I've finally figured out why the Bush counties are red in each state. They're embarassed for their state's blue counties. Those states that are all red, are pure enough to be embarassed for the states that have blue counties.
After attending the Mirimar Miitary Air Show, I'm not surprised at all. Why just today I went to the harbor and gazed upon the Midway, and the USS Ronald Reagan. Gives me chills!
It's funny how liberals want to tell everybody how to live their lives. And yet the lefties are all one massive earthquake or tidal wave away from extinction. When the polar caps melt, there goes the left and east coast. Jim
I have an uncle that is a staunch conservative who lived in LA from 1993 to 2002. He moved to San Diego and is amazed. He told me he had given up on conservatism in California but San Diego helped rekindle his faith! Now if only Tom McClintock coulda gotten elected...
Sutter County
George W. Bush (R) 17,329.... 67.2%
John F. Kerry (D) 8,254.... 32%
I live right on the LA/Orange county border, I live in Orange county but all my friends and personal business are across the road in LA County ... in my general area it's about 80 % Bush
San Diego has several of military bases, that might have something to do with it.
Well, I'll say this about New Jersey, too many darn tolls. Whenever I'd visit my grandmother it was like pulling teeth. I hate driving in New Jersey.
Ditto. Tom's not done yet. he has gotten his name recognition up. Fox goes to him quite often now. He has aspirations and won't give up on CA.
See my tag line for my Blue/Red map theory
I saw one at Mirimar a few years ago. It was awesome. I've been thinking of moving to San Diego for a while. I live behind enemy lines (Los Angeles county). It's really amazing how different San Diego is from here.
"It's funny how liberals want to tell everybody how to live their lives. And yet the lefties are all one massive earthquake or tidal wave away from extinction. When the polar caps melt, there goes the left and east coast."
Now we know why they are so in an uproar against Global Warming! LOL
That's a good point.
What gives?
Karen and I live in Western, NC near Asheville, so we don't have a clue in the mental thought-process on the Left Coast.
Regards.
LOL, I like that one. Sink Holes hugh? Not bad.
The blue counties remind me of Zits for some reason...
It's not the water, it's the secret "Kool-aid IN the water" plot. In massive amounts obviously, LOL
BTW I'm in West LA, I know what I'm talking about.
It really the same thing across the country it the heavy population urban areas the are Lib get out side of those area even in Calif. and it get conservative real fast
People come to Calif but see very little of it... there surprised once they get out of the urban areas and see the "other" if. I knew a mid west farm boy the that took a drive throughout the Inland Empire and then up the Central Valley on the I-5 and was blown away because it was just like home except "bigger"
Pretty easy to understand. If you base your assumptions of
California on what you read, see, and hear in the media
then there is reason to be puzzled. However, what you won't
see is that there is a massive inland agricultural and area
known as the Central Valley in the north and San Joaquin
Valley in the south. The towns here are basically little
different than the rest of "fly-over" American in terms of
the attitudes of the people. We, the 'folks of the red' re-
sent being lumped together with the whack jobs of the media
centers of LA and SF as do our conservative brethren who
suffer from minority status within the blue areas.
Excellent pictogram of the voting demograpic results. Thany you! Y'all might want to get this around on the web. Maybe sent it to Rush for him to post on his web site. Regards, Mark and Karen, from Western, NC.
Hence, my tag-line.
Does this mean that tall buildings cause liberalism?
If you take out Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Alameda counties, California goes Bush.
Hip Hip Hippy shake ahake!!!!......
Hip Hip Hippy shake shake!!!!......
So what you're saying is we need some Benzagel-50,000,000. Hey, it might work.
Everybodys gone surfin...surfin G.W. U.S.A.......
One good tsunami and Kalifornia goes all red.
When the polar caps melt, there goes the left and east coast.
Shhh... We might end up with all sorts of conspiracy theories from the Lefties about the cunning plan of warming up the planet to sink the blue states...
At least Chicago has a bigger. . . uh . . . spire than we do. Teehee..
Someone here said McClintock plans to run for AG of CA in 2006.
BTW, I don't like Arnold's game at all.
Thought process? What's that?!
Okay, major generalization coming here...
Liberals tend to be those who depend on others ("government") for happiness, meaning, and support. When you live in an area of lower population, you learn to survive on your own. You do not "need" anyone to hold your hand. Think of the people in the Midwest - farmers, ranchers, you get the idea.
This being the case, Liberals tend to congregate in cities where life is a lot easier than living on that farm out in North Dakota. They are, to put it succinctly, wimps, sissies, and girly men. Why else would they vote for someone like Kerry?
