I don't think you needed to include 'closet' in your sentence. I can't tell you the number of times I have been out with the oh-so tolerant NE liberals (of all religious persuasions) and the level of racist, bigoted, anti-Christian comments that have come out of their mouths.

Of course, we all know that Ms. Rice is not a black woman. No, the left thinks of her as a white person with a nice tan. If these had been posted in papers by a white person, against say Jessie or the Rev. Al, the stink would be brutal.

I really do believe that many libs are closet racists. They make so much of the issue, are so obsessed with it, that I think there's a real projection going on, a projection of their own unregognized attitudes onto others.
To: AnalogReigns
I will never understand how blacks (and Jews) could vote ponderously Democrat, yet.
To: AnalogReigns
What if Maxine Waters (of CA) were ever to be portrayed this way? Can you imagine the outrage?
To: AnalogReigns
It's amazing how so many of these lib cartoonists latch onto a sexual motif when Condi is the topic; it seems that the only way they can imagine a black woman is as a forbidden sexual conquest. So they project this into the Bush-Rice relationship.

I don't consider the depictions necessarily racist, bigoted, etc., but of course if a conservative cartoonist had thus depicted a LIBERAL black woman, then the cartoonist would be placed in stocks and pillory.
Double standard, as usual ... benefitting liberals.

If a Conservative did anything like this, he would have to move to an uninhabited island. Disgusting, sick, and racist cartoons like this have no place in America. If your local newspaper carries this garbage, please call them and let them know how you feel. If you have a subscription, threaten to cancel it. That's the only way we can stop this, because the Mainstream media will not help.

You know if Condi and George Bush were Democrats the media would portray them as "like-minded" and leave it at that.
But considering their political affiliation they have to portray Condi as a sinister cohort or weak lapdog. Then there is also this disturbing display of sideways bigoted commentary being displayed by the left. Bias in the MSM??? Nooooo.....

This proves my thesis that affirmative action has outlived its usefulness. In the first place, the market hires and rewards anyone who shows up willing to do the job, regardless of color, generally.
In the second place, we have all witnessed proof that institutionalized racism is not affected by legislation.
repeal hiring quotas and racial preferences. let a man be judged (if at all) by the content of his character rather than the color of his skin or the origin of his ancestors.
racial preferences are clearly a charade and a farce, an excuse for the left to exert control over private capital. Today it was proven by the left beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Sickening. I cannot find the words - or words I can post here - to describe my outrage.
I heard Hannity say that Rice lived near, and knew two of, the "four little girls" killed in that bomb blast in a church in 1963. When the libs say these sick, twisted, things about Rice, it's as if they are saying it about those girls too. What's the difference? that Rice wasn't a member of that particular church? (Chris Matthews' comments about the scum attacking our troops in Iraq - "they're just good people who have a disagreement with us" - would be no less grotesque to me than if they had been applied to the bombers of that church.)
Whatever. I am ranting because emotion is taking over. Folks, I used to BE a liberal, and a strong Democrat. I am now a conservative and a Republican, and my ancestors (some of whom were local Democrat politicians!) must be spinning in their graves. Not at me, but at what the Democrats have become. What do the modern Dems stand for? They seem to stand AGAINST everything I hold dear - equal treatment, nondiscrimination, justice, and defending American values. (My politician ancestors were strong anticommunists!)
I am logging off now because this has me so upset. And the MSM won't do a damned thing about this latest travesty - they ARE the travesty!!!
I really get a little uncomfortable at times seeing people call them "demoRATS" and the like here - it's just not my style. I try to stay very cool and emotionless about the endless torrent of Democrat outrages.
But sometimes my sense of outrage, betrayal and DISGUST is so great that I understand the sentiment perfectly.
When and if I start calling them "RATS" to, it will not be because of Free Republic. The credit will all go to the Dems themselves!!! Zell, I know how you feel - and YOU'RE still a Democrat, at least in name. :)

Orrin Hatch put a blow-up of that on display during Janice Rogers Brown's confirmation hearings. The hypocritical liberals practically begged him to take it down, but he refused. "No. You live with your hate" was basically what he was saying to them.

UNREAL!!! The liberal rats are nothing but modern National Socialists! They spout constant race-baiting propaganda, and suggest that minorities are so important, but the minute any of them leaves the "stable" they go ballistic in their attempts to attack them!!
National Socialist Poverty PIMPS! That's all the rats are! They want every minority kept down and the constant class infighting to keep the country divided... Instead of "E Pluribus Unum" (from many, one) they want "E Unum Pluribus" (from one, many)...

When convenient they will censor people, that's after they talk about free speech.
When convenient they will make off color, bigoted, sexist jokes or comments, that's after they talk about racial and gender equality.
BE, KNOW, DO! They can't figure out that there are many Americans who believe "Deeds" matter and not words. That's why they just can't understand the Bush effect.
But we understand. Jesse Jackson is representative of the African American community while Collin Powell is called an Uncle Tom, right?
