Yep, here in central Texas anyway.
Coming home from the grocery store last weekend, I saw 2 deer, a couple of rabbits, a roadrunner, an armadillo, and a flock of about 20 wild turkeys.
It's actually pretty normal.
I even had a doe running beside my car for about a quarter mile about a month or so ago.
Has anyone checked up on how many swarthy, middle easters looking guys are signing up for classes in wildlife studies, animal training, etc.
They used our Planes as weapons-why not our animals..H-m-m-m-m-m???????
No.
Most collisions between cattle and vehicles in western states is due livestock having little respect for cattle guards. It all started with Mexicans contemp for border guards.
It's an epidemic I tell you, an epidemic!!!!
I hit a deer (twenty years ago) and my Citation's front end looked like an accordian. A ten point buck ran out in front of my car. It was dusk and I never saw him until my car was rising in the air and the glass from my headlines was flying up, then raining down like rain.
They sure are..............less than 30 minutes ago I saw about 6 or 8 out my front window at the edge of the woods across the road from me.
The danged things ate all my corn this past summer.
nope
LOL!!!!
They are really bad over here - a few weeks ago I was coming home from a friend's place.......middle of the afternoon......half dozen of them came absolutely out of no where across the road. Scared the dickens out of me.
Not long after that hubby was behind a car that plowed into one....car was totalled, but the 2 guys in it were unhurt.
We must immediately ban all deer.
Actually it is very much the fault of hunters. Fewer folks are taking up hunting due to all the buracracy involved, negative stereotypes associated with hunters and gun owners, more restrictive laws, land restrictions, increased license fees. I've noticed a substancial decrease in hunting in my area. Coupled with loss of rural lands which are driveing the game into the cities. I've seen more car struck deer in the past two years than 20 years prior. Dozens & dozens of stories where deer have crashed thru stores, banks and homes. It hasn't reached it's peak but it is pretty close. Soon, hunters will be able to demand payment for their hunting services, trust me it's real close.
Welcome to the country!!!!
My parents no longer grow gardens because of those "four legged rats with antlers". They also will jump most fences.
Ping.

If the headlines were very distracting, you shouldn't be reading the newspaper while driving! ;-) You wouldn't believe the number of people I've seen doing just that during rush hour...never mind the deer grazing at the side of the road.
The thing peculiar to the anti-gun, anti-hunting crowd is that they don't seem to have a problem with deer receiving horrific, agonizing-death injuries from cars. If I was a deer and it was "time for my ticket to be punched" for the last time, I'd rather catch a bullet in the head rather than a Chevrolet knocking my four legs off...

FYI - the deer are getting even.
I miss Gary Larson!
That's more deer than there are in the entire state of Michigan...Yer right...It's a little too unbelievable...
Actually, these numbers are right on. It is an unbelievable waste to be hitting these deer on roadways. I read somewhere that there are 10 times more deer now than when the settlers landed.
They are getting out of hand.
