Bush had been scheduled to stay for about half an hour at the luncheon of Arkansas trout and chicken with barbecue sauce. But the opening ceremony had ended far behind schedule, and Bush's legendary devotion to punctuality is even more acute when he is heading for his ranch. Moments after the glasses clinked, his limousine was rolling, and reporters were running through the mud to scramble into their vans to try to catch up to him.

LITTLE ROCK, Nov. 18 -- President Bush sat in a chilly downpour with his parents at the opening of the William J. Clinton Presidential Library, grinned as he chatted animatedly with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) during a musical interlude by Bono, and told the shivering audience that President Bill Clinton had "showed himself to be much more than a good politician."
Bush, the father of 22-year-old twins, patted Chelsea Clinton's back several times while her parents were buried under their umbrellas. In his six-minute remarks, he said, "Perhaps the Clintons' greatest achievement is their daughter."

Arkansas in on the way to the GWBush ranch. It's usually flyover country but GW decided to make a pit stop at the traitor42x library ceremonies.
When Clinton mentioned them, not one person applauded (all rat crowd), but when Bubba mentioned Jimmah Carter, the crowd erupted with applause! Sickening! I had to turn it off after that!
Look, this whole deal was a Hillary publicity stunt, so why stay longer than is truly necessary???
Howdy Doody Hubbell? That's a pretty sad "greatest achievement".
Anybody hear her little stoned-out speech? "Here's the geeeeeeze. The geeeeeeeeze!" I'd love to have a video capture of that.
Pearls before the swine. True trailer trash.
"President Bill Clinton had "showed himself to be much more than a good politician."
Is that nearly subliminal, or what?...LOL!
Leno said that the library is the largest building in Arkansas on wheels.
"'President Bill Clinton had 'showed himself to be much more than a good politician.' Is that nearly subliminal, or what?...LOL!"
Yes, thats just like President Bush's EP-3 apology ("WE'RE SORRY we're going to have to sell the most technologically advanced military equipment to Taiwan") to China.
The man's got a wicked sense of dry humor.
Perhaps their greatest achievement is staying out of prison.
Bush has more class than me. I wouldn't have shown up at all.
Bingo.
"When Clinton mentioned them, not one person applauded (all rat crowd), but when Bubba mentioned Jimmah Carter, the crowd erupted with applause! Sickening! I had to turn it off after that!"
Is this true!?
So much for the potential Kumbaya moment....
Somehow I don't think that was a compliment for Clinton
"Pearls before the swine. True trailer trash."
Congratulations, in just seven words you have managed to insult both swine and trash!!
"The man's got a wicked sense of dry humor."
He does at that, I wonder if the Clintons are sharp enought to recognize the fact.

"Sharp" is not in the equation; ego is.
Arrogantly delusional people rarely feel the sharp sting of sarcasm.
Bubba is probably glowing and crowing over the "compliment".
We know this is true.
Otherwise, why would kerry have allowed such humiliating "photo ops" to be splashed all over the media?
In his mind, he wasn't a dorky guy who catches a football like a frightened 9 year old girl...he was Knute Rockne, winning the big game.
Their egomania deafens them to the mocking laughter.
Instead, they see only approving smiles.
Bizarre, pathetic, but true...:)
I'll give the crowd credit for not booing like the Wellstone funerally crowd did to Trent Lott.
I wonder if "W" took the time to take a whiz out the back door of the Liebrary like they do in gap-toothed yokelland.
That picture is the first thing I thought of when I saw that Library. LOL.
Poor babies. boo hoo
I didn't watch the ceremony - it's just a bit hard for me to take too seriously any ceremony that takes place in front of a double-wide on stilts. Reminds me of the scene in the movie Vacation where the family goes to visit their redneck cousins.
Good to hear Dubya and Laura left ASAP.
The President is obliged to be gracious on these occasions. It's good to know that he was as insulting as diplomacy would allow.
Regards, Ivan
G.W.B. had a gag bag by his chair just in case......
Clinton's Lie-bery looks like a double-wide getting ready to launch......

Is it time to leave yet?
Good, Im glad you posted that...I was just looking for it...I think Dubya kept AF1 on the runway with the engines running....LOL
Great minds think alike. :^)
LOL!!!!!!
I watched the Presidential speeches yesterday. Yes, Jimmy Carter got applause but so did both Presidents Bush. I thought the crowd was polite. They were not cheering wildly but I would not have expected it. Bush 41 got a few laughs as did GWB.
I heard they were expecting 120,000 and because of the rain there were only about 30,000. Maybe some of the more hateful dem witches knew the rain would melt them so they stayed home.
This was the opening of the Klintoon National Trailer Park Trash Commie Memorial LieBerry. Communists deserve no recognitiion other than being six feet under. The klintoons are like herpes they seem to never go away. Jimish carter is a total commie fool and when dead, we will hear the angels applauding/satan saying come on down!!!! Not a rant, just the facts. NSNR
Clinton looked chemically impaired, seriously. When he was supposed to be off camera (ha!there's always a camera) he had a weird twisted look on his Face. Not to mention his weird speech and emotional outburst with Jennings.
Off topic but relative to Wellstone, his '92 campaign manager just got 8 years for all kinds of fraud in the Minnesota-Iowa area. Lying to banks to get loans to buy minor league hockey teams, etc.
During the live dedication, I got my play by play from the live thread running yesterday. A couple of posters were quite upset that President Bush said nice, polite and complimentary things about Clinton. Yet last night, I watched the replay on cspan. The innuendos intertwined in the President's comments were great. He referred to Virginia Kelly, Clinton's mother, as a working woman. (I pictured an Arkansas street corner.) When he said Clinton had showed himself, visions of Paula Jones' ordeal ran through my head. EEEW!
Yet Clinton just sat there showing no reaction. He looked quite old and as though couldn't hear. At one point, he turned to Hillary and I thought he was asking her what was being said. They both appeared miserable and I'm sure they were blaming God for the weather that literally ruined their day.
Bush's "praise" was wonderfully dotted with backhanded "compliments". It was a joy to behold.
In other words...at least one of Bubba's loads didn't end up on somebody's dress.
Good one! Time to get out of Dodge and over to the ranch.
Bono found the time to make a crack about getting the President out of bed; if we must endure fools, why must we also endure foreign ones?
Another "great achievement" is not killing one another.
The contrast between his words and the lib mantra of how GWB fosters hate and division was glaring. Although the hardcore will continue to see GWB as the Great Satan - many fence sitters will be impressed with his magnaminity.
You know Bubba was going crazy trying to decide if Dubya meant them or not.
Yes. So why go at all? I don't see any legitimate reason for assisting the evil one. Unfortunately Bush is all too willing to play with the bad guys.
The only time libs will move to bridge the so-called division is when they get their way.
Barring that, they'll continue to obstruct and whine.
It's always their way or no way.
[somebody should put Bubba's mind at ease, then...W ~didn't~ mean it]....LOL!
My deepest apologies to the swine.
