Of all time? Surely you meant to say of the last 50 years.

500 songs and they overlook "White Light, White Heat" from Lou's Rock n Roll Animal. Rolling Stone is a joke.

Not one Rush song listed...Rolling Stone has found another way possible to piss off the music world with their contempt for one of the greatest rock bands ever.

It actually would have been nice if they stuck to rock and roll and left out soul, R&B, disco, pop, etc.

No Temptations stuff, no Hey Jude, etc.

They run these dumb lists
for the free publicity
when everyone talks

of the obvious
omissions and equally
absurd inclusions.

They might as well have
a computer make their list
by random drawing . . .

Rolling Stone should stop talking about music and stick with what they're good at - printing spread-leg pictures of Democrats with cucumbers stuffed down their pants.

And as usual I would agree with about 20% of this.

Rolling Stone Mag is just pop crap pushing the Democrat party line.

I'm sure many other Freepers have their own opinion but mine is that this list is just sanctimonious garbage that engages the more shallow readers to write to them and admonish them for not including their own favorite bands.

They do this list every year.

And The Kinks only make the list three times.

Give me a break! The Ramones as important to rock as The Kinks? What a bunch of losers over at Rolling Stones.
