A Chicago man has launched a website to mobilize millions of Americans to consign the American Civil Liberties Union to the "ash heap of history."
The ACLU, says the website StopThe ACLU.org, is "relentlessly and fiercely assaulting America's foundations by feverishly working through activist court systems to impose same-sex marriage and remove all vestiges of the Ten Commandments wherever they may be posted."
Nedd Kareiva says his two main goals are to send 1 million letters to the ACLU's headquarters in New York and to coordinate a march of 1 million Americans at each ACLU office in the nation.
As WorldNetDaily reported, an ACLU lawsuit against the Pentagon resulted in an agreement announced this week to ensure military bases do not sponsor Boy Scout troops.
Kereiva told WorldNetDaily in an e-mail that while there are public-interest law groups such as the American Center for Law and Justice and the Alliance Defense Fund standing up to the ACLU in court, citizens can do little apart from making financial contributions.
"In this past election," he says on his website, "the ACLU and its activist allies were sent a clear message not to tamper with the institution of marriage" with the passage of 11 out of 11 amendments defending traditional marriage.
But that didn't matter to the ACLU, Kereiva says, as litigation already is challenging measures passed in Georgia and Oklahoma.

Same-sex marriage is a losing issue for the Dems., I think we've turned the corner on that one and it's clearly in our favor right now. The Ten Commandments is a murkier issue, we can win some of the fights, but we'll lose others, even with fair-minded judges.
But the ACLU's attack on the Boy Scouts is another issue altogether. THIS is where they have gone too far and where I believe the courts will side with us as we take them on. There is no reason why we should ever lose a fight with the ACLU over the Boy Scouts. Period! That is where we should really concentrate our attention.

The ACLU can be an organization for good causes, but they have been overrun by the extreme left. It needs to be gutted of its current lot of anti Christian losers and anarchists.

This is merely an effort to treat a symptom and not the true illness. To get at the root of the problem we need to spend our time and money on finding judges who uphold the law.
The ACLU could not get to first base without knaves, scallywags, and morons in black robes.

Hi Tom D. You are 100% correct. Protesting the ACLU simply plays into their hands. (Authenticates their victim-hood.) Defeat them in the courts "the Chicago way". For every lawsuit they file, we file 3 more.

This is a nice gesture but it doesn't defang the cobra. What WILL do so is removing the state bar associations from licensing of attorneys and judges--and putting each attorney on a popular vote...same for the ABA....concurrently, getting every possible District Attorney, State Attorney and U.S. Attorney General to pursue the ACLU under the RICO Act...they're a shakedown racket!

". . . pursue the ACLU under the RICO Act...they're a shakedown racket!"
I agree completely. Their case against the Boy Scouts in San Diego was probably an "inside job" given that they had two or three councilmen on the City Council, with past associations with prominent ACLU advocates, who caved in before the case had run its course in the courts and paid the ACLU -- what was it? -- one and a half million dollars in a settlement?
Citizens need to be protected from this kind of racketeering. RICO all the way Blurblogger! You're right on the money with that charge.

Not that I disagree with you but defeating them in the courts means defeating them financially.

You don't defeat them by giving them publicity. You defeat them by identifying and eliminating their sources of funding.

The ACLU has always been a communist organization from it's founding. The idea is to remove the roadblocks to a completely secular country, so that communism will have an easier time taking over.

America is starting to grasp that the MSM is the advertizing department of the Democratic Party. When will the light blub start to glimmer that the ACLU is their legal department? This might be a start.

It needs to be gutted of its current lot of anti Christian losers and anarchists. If the organization survives, there are plenty more of those type to fill it back up again.

Hi MagnumRancid. Precisely. And there are dozens of legal organizations that are doing that today. Protest at an ACLU office and get some publicity for a day, or send a fat check to one of several legal organizations who will use it over the next several years to counter the ACLU in court. It seems like a no-brainer. Here are my favorites.
The Alliance Defense Fund, The Rutherford Institute, The Pacific Justice Institute, The Thomas More Law Center. (I stopped supporting the ACLJ because I didn't like their fund raising techniques. They do good work, but they're too coercive in their find raising for my taste.)

Note to fingers, it's fund raising. Get it together. :-)
