CSI: Miami Goes After Those Calling for Immigration Reform (On Now!)
CBS ^ | 11/22/2004 | Pyro7480

Posted on 11/22/2004 7:48:45 PM PST by Pyro7480

Tonight's CSI: Miami episode is feature a plot line where a group of terrorist hijack a fishing boat, smuggle some RPG's into Miami, and fire them at police and a convenience store run by Cuban immigrants. One of those arrested in the crime presents the police a card with a statement addressing his constitutional rights, and said something about his "Second Amendment rights" and "the right to form a militia." He refuses to answer a Hispanic female officer, saying he won't answer a "Puerto Rican." After the convenience store attack, another terrorist who is apprehended with a black eye from firing the RPG launcher says something about "protecting normal Americans." A police officer who was helping to investigate the convenience store attack stated that the store owner, who only spoke Spanish, and was injured in the attack, would have done better if he had learned English.

It is obvious the writers of this story are going after gun rights' supporters and those calling for immigration reform. CBS has no shame!

Except for professional and NCAA football, the Grammys, The Masters, and the Price is Right, everybody at FR is boycotting SeeBS.

Dn't forget CSI: NY, which has pro-military actor Gary Sinise on it, and "regular" CSI.

I like the real CSI show, but I don't watch the knock-off with the orange-haired punk in it. Can't stand that guy.

Yeah, I don't usually watch it either, but the RPG's plot line intrgued me when I saw the commercial for it.

Every CSI show sucks. I have no idea why people watch it.

It's a poor ripoff of 'the new detectives' with bad writing, horrible acting, and dim lightbulbs.

The things that makes me mad is the use of the Cubans. I think most of those who are critical of the Mexicans streaming over don't mind accepting Cubans who are escaping an oppressive communist country. I have seen some FReepers question this policy, but most have no problem with it.

Yes this show's writers have an agenda on this issue.
All of these writers and like minded Lefties should go to Europe and see what irresponsible immigration has done there. Europe's fastest growing population are the Muslims and in our lifetimes they will be the dominant group.
60 years of Socialism have put Europe on the road to irrelevance.
We have the same problem here with not being able to control our borders and illegal immigration.

Personally I'd prefer to dispense with the whole ban on trade with Cuba. If we can deal/trade with China, Vietnam, and a bunch of "allies" in the Middle East (never mind the EU), why the heck not Cuba?

I must agree. While I have liked CSI Miami, tonight's episode took an excellent story line and turned it into leftist propaganda. If that sort of thing continues they will lose me as Law and Order did when the agenda became overwhelming.

bad writing, horrible acting, and dim lightbulbs.

That would describe 99% of network programming.

I love any and every "CSI" on TV right now. Especially the original CSI with William Peterson. He's Liberal but he's a great actor.

I actually walked out on the end. It just really annoyed me. Thanks for posting this thread and letting me vent.

OF COURSE I don't endorse shooting RPGs at immigrant grocers, but basically the message of the show was if you have ANY problem with immigration, LEGAL OR ILLEGAL you are the equivalent of a person who would do this.

I DON'T WANT THE US TO BE A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY. BUT THE LEFT DOES. BECAUSE THEY WILL RETREAT BEHIND THEIR PROTECTIVE WALLS LIKE THE ELITES IN THE THIRD WORLD DO NOW.

IMMIGRATIOM MORATORIUM NOW. NO MORE LOTTERY SYSTEM FOR VISAS. NO MORE BI-LINGUAL ED. NO WINKING AT ILLEGALS. BUSH'S PLAN IS DOA.

(And as for what I was actually saying during the end of the show....not fit for family posting.)

I think I'm sticking to only ORIGINAL CSI from now own. Although I do like the coroner on this one.
