All, IF, as the "debunkers" say and write, "There is nothing to this, 'They would NEVER do this'"., WHY then is restricting language so hard to get into the funding bill? And, the voluminous bill is ALREADY unread by millions, so I DON'T need the "They didn't want to add the 'extra' words." Peace and love, George.

Mandatory mental screening for "every" American? Normal by whose standards? Good grief! and shades of big brother. This is scary stuff.

Is this the same omnibus spending bill that would allow congress the right to look at private IRS returns?
What ever happened to the old GOP idea of not taxing, not spending, and limited government intrusion?

The Nationalizing Socialist Attitude Adjustment continues.
Have you tried homosexuality? If not, why not?
Have you tried drugs? If not, why not?
Have you tried hating Christ? If not, why not?

How are they going to snag homeschoolers? Surely they're not going to get a pass.

Once implemented, every child in America will be required to be on ritalin, prozac and who knows what else just so the pharamceutical industry can keep their profits up without having to innovate new drugs. After all, kids on this medication will grow up to be adults on this medication and the money will keep flowing.
And the idea that every American will have screening is frightening. Antone who isn't a self depreciating homosexual will be considered mentally ill and perscribed boatloads of medication to correct their condition. Once they are depressed, psychotic homosexuals, they will be considered cured. </sarcasm>

If this comes to pass under the Bush administration, I will rue the day I voted for him and the Republican ties to the pharmaceutical industry. And don't forget the political leanings of the mental health professionals. Conservatism is a mental disorder to them. President Bush, you are really giving it to us from behind on this one.

Maybe it's all a test. Just to see if you're crazy enough to submit to this type of testing.

Scary from the perspective of making big bucks for drug manufacturers but even more so from the perspective of shifting the entire population toward some group-think standard. Conform or else. Stalinish. What the hell's wrong with Bush? I'm writing my well-known left-of-liberal congressman, maybe he can oppose it.

What can we do to defeat this? Take a look here at the congressional record of who voted against Ron Paul's attempt to stop this.
The next time you vote, and you see any of those people on the ballot, don't vote for them. Then write to them and tell them what you did and why.
If you can't do that, if you're conned by the "lesser of two evils" game, then you can't stop it. And you will get more of the same in the future. And you'll deserve it because it is what you asked for when you returned them to office.
