On the books and officially, Ukraine turned over all nukes and all TU-95 and TU-160 bombers and all ICBM subs during the early 90s, perhaps into the mid 90s. The key operative here, of course, is, "officially."

I beg your pardon. My husband is a Ukrainian and so are many of our closest friends. That makes my son 1/2 Ukrainian and all of my inlaws either very Ukrainian ( many speak it), or somewhat Ukrainian. Depends on how you want to view it.
