I agree with your syntax. IIRC, only "cheese-eating" is hyphenated. "Surrender [animal]" is NON-hyphenated LOL.

"I was a pro-UN Democrat Liberal ... when I gained the courage to examine the track records of the individual nations that make up the International Community. The International Community ... gave birth to Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, the Mongols, the Vikings, Napoleon, Alexander the Great, the Ottoman Empire, the Emperor of Japan that attacked Pearl Harbor..." wrote another."
My favorite, except the writer left out the Clintons.

Today the Ukraine! Tomorrow... France?
Eh, no great loss.

the bitterness of the US right wing toward Europeans, referred to on The Simpsons as "cheese-eating surrender-monkeys", That was the french who were referred to a "cheese-eating surrender-monkeys" by a Scotsman. Get it right if you please.
And no, if old Europe needs help I don't feel they deserve it, they didn't exactly deserve it last time either. However more then likely we will be there for them because that is the kind of people we are.
Although this time we will insist on them paying their bills. And on france and Belgium acquiring some morals and civilization. Running foreign policy based on enlightened self interest is fine but they seem to have forgotten the "Enlightened" part. A barbarian would find their actions disgusting.

Here's a reply from Ms. Pekonen:
You show complete ignorance of the Finnish history. We did not surrender during the II WW, but fought against Soviet Union twice in extremely bloody wars than enabled us to maintain our independence - unlike all the rest of the unfortunate European countries that bordered the Soviet Union during the 1940s.
Therefore Finland and the U.K. were the only two countries in Europe that had taken part in the war yet were not occupied after it.

Why is this being addressed to me? I said nothing about Finland in my post and made it clear that france is the one I have the biggest beef with. Oh and Belgium but then Belgium is a road and barely worth mentioning except for its gross barbarity.
To say that Finland did not surrender in WWII is not exactly accurate. They were forced to make land concessions, pay damages and sign treaties. These are not the actions of a winner but of a loser in a war.

With Putin putting out signals for expanding Russia again, the future may be interesting.
The Finns should realize who is just over the border.

Wow! My email to her was quite polite. And her reply back to me was as well. The excerpts she posted are treated in a very gentle manner. As she said to me, she was surprised at the reactions of the expats as well.
I think this is a great follow-up article!

"Reindeer-meat-eating surrender monkey..."
Hahum?
I don't recall very much surrendering... After having fought the Soviet Union twice.
