Dixie Carter (Designing Women) is also a solid Conservative Republican.
I found an interesting quote about that:
Liberals are always whining that most Republican actors are "B" list or has-beens. But a Hollywood friend once told me that many of those got that way because their allegiance was discovered, and their careers torpedoed afterwards. Ann Jillian was up for a big role when she supported Reagan. The deal was cancelled.

Are you nuts?! She's one of the biggest liberals in h'wood.... a big friend of the Clintons.
bump for later reading.
Maybe you are thinking of the character (Julia) she played in Designing Women.
You did a good job of listing alot of the actors I like in their work. Sure would like to see more of Tom Sellek. Met him once when I worked at Universal Studios (in another life) and he was a very nice person. James Garner is also very nice. Wonder what his politics are?
Ron Silver spoke at the Republican convention. He also spoke at one of Clinton's inaugurations. He is like alot of former liberals I have meet that were changed by the events of September 11th. I would imagine there are a lot more of them in Hollywood than would care to admit it.
Is Mark Harmon conservative? Saw him in a movie called "Summer School", it's an 80's comedy, but it did preach a message about hard work and dedication.

Are you sure y'all aren't thinking of Delta Burke? She was shredded by the media for gaining weight while on the show, but I believe she and her husband, Gerald McRainey, are Rebpublicans.
Angie Harmon, Gene Simmons (A big supporter of Israel) Fred Thompson, and Dennis Franz.
I believe that altho Rob Lowe is a liberal, he was very adamant about being pro-Iraq war.
Thank you for telling me what to do. I wouldn't know what to do without your guidance.
Tom Selleck did a great job playing Supreme Allied Commander Ike (Ike: Countdown to D-Day). I even thought that he really went bald for real. It was such a good movie, that I bet he'll have to regularly shave his head for sequels.
It's a must see film: http://www.aetv.com/tv/shows/ike/
I give it 5 out of 4 stars (get it, he was a Supreme Allied Commander...5 star general...oh, nevermind).
Maybe some are not liberals or conservatives. More like libertarians. They don't follow the pc hollywood crowd.
You'll never find an actor of any talent who has well thought out political convictions -- on the left or the right -- simply because of the nature of the work they do.
