Las Vegas, NV --------- December 1, 2004

Dan Rather/CBS's attempt to influence the election through the use of fraudulent documents was exposed on www.FreeRepublic.com, the internet's premier conservative news forum. Within minutes of Rather's "news" broadcast, members of Free Republic started to dissect the story. Freepers Buckhead & TankerKC led the charge and quickly uncovered the bogus charges that the network was leveling against President Bush.

The spinning and stonewalling began immediately with a former executive Vice President of CBS news, Jonathan Klein, stating on Fox News that "You couldn't have a starker contrast between the multiple layers of checks and balances at 60 minutes and a guy sitting in his living room in his pajamas writing".

Mr. Klein could not have been more wrong. The fact of the matter is that FreeRepublic.com has over 150,000 registered members (called Freepers) from all walks of life; including, journalists! This variety of backgrounds plus the Freepers' knowledge of researching the internet combined with an ingrained skepticism and desire for truth telling far surpasses today's definition of journalism.

Freeper ForGod'sSake went to work on a graphic that he hoped would symbolize the new tag bestowed by Mr. Klein and thusly, the Pajama Patrol Badge was born. The badge was posted on relevant threads and received a warm response from many Freepers.

Another Freeper, Seeking the Truth, owner of the political satire website, 0cents.com, offered to produce the Pajama Patrol Badge Products and there are now several items available; Stamp Sheets, Tee Shirts, Mousepads, Coffee Mugs, Fridge Magnets, BBQ Aprons, Beer Steins, Magnetic Bumper Stickers, Oval Bumper Stickers

Asgardshill: "...your web designer should be impaled on a fence somewhere - the drum solo is over the top..."

-Seeking the truth: ".... I'm the designer..."

BWAHAAAAAAA!!!!
That'll show the little welp, eh? :o)

"Bwahahaa! -and I thought I was the only one who made such gaffs."

No, I'm afraid you're not.
Here try this one sent me by a friend.

--------------------
Subject: attorney

Lawyers should never ask a witness a question if they aren't prepared for the answer.

In a trial, a Southern small town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a grand motherly, elderly woman to the stand. He approached her and asked, "Mrs. Jones, do you know me?"

She responded, "Why, yes I do know you, Mr. Williams. I've known you since you were a young boy, and frankly, you've been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you're a big shot when you haven't the brains to realize you never will amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you."

The Lawyer was stunned! Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the room and asked, "Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense attorney?"

She again replied, "Why yes, I do. I've known Mr. Bradley since he was a youngster, too. He's lazy, bigoted, and he has a drinking problem. He can't build a normal relationship with anyone and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. One of them was your wife. Yes, I know him."

The defense attorney almost died.

The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench, and in a very quiet voice, said, "If either of you bastards asks her if she knows me, I'll throw your sorry asses in jail for contempt."
------------------

See?

...Judges know how to deal with this gaff stuff.

Freezin in Las Vegas bump...it got into the 30's last night...who said its hot & dry out here?

My thermometer was showing 3 degrees Fahrenheit when I went to bed last night in Pocatello. At 10 AM, we were burning up at 18 degrees. More snow on the way soon.

Global warming? How about another Ice Age? Check out Ice Age Now.

Don't your speakers have an OFF button?

They sure do. And I used it the very second after I was able to put down my coffee cup after spilling half of it on myself from the shock of hearing a very loud drum solo start up in a perfectly quiet house. The Skip Intro link didn't work the first three times I clicked it either.

It was just unexpected, and I've already posted my regrets to Seeking The Truth for my disparagement at the time of his fine web site. And I won't be going the McDonald's lawsuit route for my coffee spill either - I knowingly assumed the risk of having hot liquids near a keyboard in the first place.
