So NOW They Key My Car? (A Night Out to See National Treasure)
11/29/04 | Cinnamon Girl

Last night, I went to see "The Incredibles" in Century City, only, "The Incredibles" was sold out, so we saw "National Treasure" instead. It was REALLY GOOD, by the way. For anyone into American history, this was well done and interesting all the way through. Nick Cage looked good and the chick who played the main chick, Diane Kruger is VERY pretty.

Anyway, it turns out while my car was sitting in the Century City mall parking garage, some nut keyed one side of my car. Why? Could it be the "W '04" bumper sticker I still have on, since President Bush is the PRESIDENT and he WON?

Some of y'all might remember the post from August: "Dennis Prager Agrees to Put Bush/Cheney Sticker on His Lexus: LET'S ALL DO IT TODAY!!!"

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1194090/posts

It was on that day that I put the somewhat discreet "W" circle sticker on my car bumper. Up until last night, nothing had happened to my car.

I still see a LOT of Kerry/Edwards stickers on peoples cars and the "W" with the red line through it. Is anyone else still experiencing post-election liberal rage?

I'm assuming your paper publishes letters to the editor.

Unfortunately, both Los Angeles papers endorsed Kerry....fat chance of them publishing such a letter.

...and the chick who played the main chick...

Are you sure it was not a group against the use of the word "chick" to describe women? "PETA against chicks for food and chicks as women?"

Undoubtedly. Besides, Century City is the capital of the West Side, you're deep in enemy territory.

You might have to make a jump-shift in your assumption about
WHO and WHY your car was keyed. I would go more for the
envy theory. There are people (undisciplined juvenile minds - not necessarily an age indicator) out there who will
key your car just because:
a. YOU are a HAVE and they are a HAVE NOT
b. There was nothing better to do at the moment
c. The perp was having an anger fit at someone/something
else entirely and YOUR car just happened to be there
d. He/she knows someone who has a car just like YOURS
and he hates that person...not you!
e. any combo of the preceding...
f. There is no rational nor reasonable answer to your
question.

Wear that key mark on your car with pride and never get it repainted. Consider it a beauty mark on your car, that exposes the ugliness of the left.

Sorry about your car. At least they didn't slash your tires.

Dennis Prager made a good point, though, and on that day, a lot of people in my neighborhood said 'what the heck' and put the Bush bumper stickers on. He made the point that we were going to say what we wanted to say and they couldn't control us with their vandalism.

Well, my in-laws are bringing up BS scandals whenever we meet up.

I simply nuke them with 2 words, though:
"We won."

Slightly off-topic I know BUT . . .saw "National Treasure" with my family and liked it a lot.

Recommend "National Treasure" for a satisfying movie going experience.

CAVEAT: We're not talking high art here -- simply an entertaining movie with lots of fun historical references AND a refreshing respect for the founding fathers.

"They can't understand the morals/values issue because they have no values and disrespect other people's personal property."

For openers, many of them don't believe in personal property.

In Orange County, where I live, I saw many more Kerry stickers, than Bush stickers. Obviously I wasn't the only Bush supporter opting for no stickers.

I made a decision to NOT put stickers on my cars, fearing that dems have become nasty people. It sounds like the character of dems is bad and getting worse.

Think "silent majority."

BTW, Magnetic bumper stickers are the way to go when surrounded by hate.

That's why I'm still driving my '95 Toyota pickup.

If somebody keys it, it doesn't matter.

We've got a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker on our car. No damage yet. (Of course, I should mention that next to the Bush/Cheney sticker is an NRA sticker. That might scare some of those chimps off...)

I still have my "scar" from the Proposition 22 campaign of 2000. It's a nice long one that goes the entire length of my 98 Ranger. In fact, I often wonder if the dweeb actually damaged his/her key in making such a huge gouge, and couldn't get their car started.
