Edwards said he will continue to give speeches around the country and may publish another book

... and in his spare time he's signed on as the spokesman for a new ad campaign as the "Breck girl"

"It's just good to be home," Edwards said after arriving more than an hour late for the rally.

The sob doesn't even have the courtesy to be on time. I guess he's tasking etiquette lessons from Clinton.

Re his giving up his Senate seat: The conventional wisdom was that he was going to lose. I wish Kery had the class that Bob Dole exhibited in givng up his seat and his position as Senate majority leader when he declared.

Like a bad actor who doesn't know when to get off the stage John Edwards stumbles forward in to political oblivion.

Greeted by an enthusiastic crowd...

We can safely assume that crowd consisted of his wife, children and paid campaign staff.

And no one else.

did you guys know that he was the son of a mill worker?

Yes, we know, and he grew up to be the SOB trial lawyer that chased many of the good ob-gyn doctors out of his state. He deprived many women of good doctors who wouldn't put up with the increased insurance premiums due to his fradulent malpractice lawsuits that made him a multi-millionare. Check out the background on his first major malpractice lawsuit, for instance.

"He did nothing, really.."

He made us laugh, he made us cry............that is, he made us laugh, until we cried.

Thanks Johnny, we hardly knew you...... Lets keep it that way.

...those voters have to believe that our values — my values and the values of other Democratic leaders — are the same values they believe in. That means we have to be touching them...

Hmmmmm. I hope they keep their hands to themselves.

"'It's just good to be home,' Edwards said..."

I expect his neighbors don't feel the same. Have heard he's not a good, respectful neighbor

More mush from Kerry's second choice. He's got a future in politics, alright.

How can you say that?< /sarcasm>

'My Little Pony' couldn't carry his own precinct, let alone his state or any other Southern state. He was shuffled off to the boondocks in the waning days of the election because his mouth was such an embarrassment. "Christopher Reed would get up and walk", etc.

"Just think. If he had been able to deliver his home state, he would be saying farewell b/c he was about to be sworn in as VP...."

Actually, had Bush carried all the other states he carried, he still would have gotten 271 electoral votes even without NC. Of course, had Kerry-Edwards carried NC, which went to Bush-Cheney by 12.4%, they would have probably carried 10 other Bush states and won 375 electoral votes.

after arriving more than an hour late for the rally.

This jackass has the nerve to keep people waiting for an hour. He still doesn't get it. Nor do any of the other democrats for that matter.

Let me splain sumpnother to you Johnny Boy. You ain't special. If it is your goal to get people to vote for you, I'd strongly suggest you learn that voters, silly as we are, expect, no make that demand, to be treated with dignity and respect.

I know, I know, this is a concept that is beyond your ability to comprehend, so just take your liberal pompous ass back to the trial lawyer business.

That means we have to be touching them, reaching out to them."

You don't suppose that he wanted to be VP so he could have his own Lewinsky, do you? Now he'll have to feel his way toward finding one on his own.

"One thing you can count on is that this fight is not over"

It is for you.

My 100% Guaranteed Airtight Prediction: John Edwards will never be elected to any national office ever again.

Sincerely,

Dear Senator:
The best thing you can do is take care of your family right now. Your wife is in a fight for her life, and she and your children deserve your undivided attention. You have worked for years to build your fortune, and you are lucky that in this difficult time you have the option of refraining from work. Should the Lord bless your wife with a positive prognosis we will be glad to pick up the debate in full at a later date.

Until then you have my prayers, and should you do the right thing by your family you will gain a measure of respect from this conservative.

No, he gave it up when he realized he was going to get creamed.**

Absolutely
