I love the smell of napalm and falafel in the morning.

It smells like victory.

Other residents of that area also said that banned weapons were used. Abu Sabah, said; “They used these weird bombs that put up smoke like a mushroom cloud… then small pieces fall from the air with long tails of smoke behind them."

The small smoking pieces is what's left of the structure that was just bombed... If we took off the gloves, the death toll would be tens of thousands. They don't understand we are being gentle...

Geez, where do these "people" come from? Napalm is NOT banned and we've been cooking our enemies with it since WWII.

So, to paraphrase those famous words of Archie Bunker: "Would you have prefered little girl, if we had just pushed them out of a window?"

True enough; we've been cooking them. Remember how Marines cleared caves and other hard to reach places in WWII with flame throwers? Then there was napalm in Vietnam. It seems to me this is the proper approach for those difficult to reach terrorists.

"Hot enough for a Pork barbecue???"

More than sufficient for pork BBQ.

Perhaps we should first do carpet-bombing run with pigs dropped from the tail-end of a squadron of C-130's, then a follow-on strike by a flight of F-18's with NAPALM.

THat would accomplish 3 things:

1) Completely demoralize the terrorists (pigs and all....)
2) Kill a bunch of them.
3) Provide hot BBQ for our victorious troops.

This clown is describing white phosphorus. It's used as a spotting round for artillery. And yes it's hell to put out!

We are using high powered laser beams to toast the terrorists. Napalm is so last year. Can't any of these twits get it right.

Well, we could also throw in some whiskey to help the fire have a nice flavor (and to upset our enemies), and beer for the men when they're done.

The MOAB is an FAE! Fuel Air Explosive. Propane which will create on heck of a blast. Maybe the use of Greek Fire was appropriate during the Trojan War, but today we have a better candle.

Today's Aviation Week reports that a test facility for the Airborne Laser 747 laser is ready to be used. Additional funding for the 15KW tactical laser is proceeding and maybe we can fry those rag heads!!!

Yep, exactly right...the Marines called it "the blowtorch and corkscrew" technique...Napalm (or flamethrower), followed by satchel charges and/or grenades...it was very effective.

We also used it effectively in Korea against the Chinese human wave attacks.

Oh please. I guess using an M82 to remove a tango's head at 1500 metres is more humane than killing by fire.

War is hell. It's brutal, and we do our damnedest to kill as lethally but gently as possible. To do otherwise undermines our political aims. *WE* do not do to combatants what the terrorists do to civilians.

Screw 'em.

"Well, we could also throw in some whiskey to help the fire have a nice flavor"

OK - Gotta be JAck Daniels then - good addition to BBQ flavor.

"and beer for the men when they're done."

Even better - but this should be parachuted in as we wouldn't want to suds-ify the beer.

The MOAB is not a FAE. FAEs have been around a long time. And the MOAB doesn't function the same way. See http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/dumb/fae.htm

We use the Mark 77 firebomb, which is "napalm-like". As well we should. Some tried to make a big stink about it in August of 2003 when the Marines used it during the initial invasion. The Pentagon had said it wasn't using "napalm" but later did say it was using the Mk 77 firebomb, which is very similar.

This is probably just more of the same.

Well, they could have trucks accompamying them as they ride into battle. It might not be quite like Toby's Keith's ballad - "Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses" - but the troops wouldn't mind.
