"Hopefully Bush will get put on trial for war crimes right now. There was a feeling that he was gonna get re-elected anyway, just because Kerry wasn't a very strong opponent.

"There's a small percentage of those people in the south that still wave the Confederate flag. I think George Bush is more of a threat to the freedom of America than (ousted Iraqi dictator) SADDAM HUSSEIN ever was."

The sad thing is that people like Armstrong don't realize they are advocating hate speech when, if the reverse was happening, he would be the first in line to state it was just that -- hate speech. It is typical liberal hypocrisy.

I happen to believe that nationalism is good for a country and the only way for republic/democracy to work.

That's not a matter of opinion. Near as I can tell, it's just a plain fact. I don't understand how so many people fail to see it. Some things are just so self-evident, it's baffling that anyone could disagree.

A fairly successful alternative band that masquerades (IMHO) itself as punk.

OK, thanks for the warning. I heard about this story the other day and did a google.com search. The web site that had this story was the link I sent.

Spybot Search and Destroy caught it; wouldn't even let me bring up the article. It also catches spyware from Drudge's pop-up ads.

There are two very successful radio talk shows on in mid afternoon opposite each other in the Boston community. Both hosts are on the conservative side of the political spectrum. Additionally, the daily newspaper Boston Herald endorsed Bushie in 2000 and 2004. No doubt the liberals dominate the populace, however.

Whenever I hear rock stars spouting off about politics, I can't help but hear Cheech Marin singing "Earache My Eye" in my head... ;)

My momma talkin' to me tryin' to tell me how to live
But I don't listen to her 'cause my head is like a sieve
My daddy, he disowned me 'cause I wear my sister's clothes
He caught me in the bathroom with a pair of pantyhose

My basketball coach, he done kicked me off the team
For wearin' high-heel sneakers and actin' like a queen

The world's comin' to an end, I don't even care
As long as I can have a limo and my orange hair
And it don't bother me if people think I'm "funny"
'Cause I'm a big rock star and I'm makin' lots of money
money, money, money, money, money, money
Ahhh! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...

I'm so bloody rich! Ha ha ha ha!
I own apartment buildings and shopping centers! Ha ha ha ha!
And I only know three chords! Ha ha ha ha!

ok...Am I supposed to be impressed by some young dorks jumping around a film stage disgracing the American flag. Smashing there instruments and looking like complete idiots covered in green water.

Its seems more like kids having a temper tantrum they will grow up someday but then again some people dont

I met a future Marine this weekend. 17 years old going into the core as soon as he can. Following in his dads footsteps. This kid/man has more respect in his little finger than these idiots

I was really hoping escapefromboston and speedy would echo your post (thereby proving me right.) ; )

btw - I live in New Jersey, so I can relate to that feeling of aloneness. I'm sure it's even worse in Massachusetts, but the garden state is no rose garden.

Damn. I remember back when folks like Barbara Streisand, Linda Ronstadt, and others were coming out with similar foolish statements and folks on here kept saying "Shut up and sing!"

My thought was, "Hey, I agree with the shut up part, but do we really have to listen to them sing too?" Can't say I was a fan of any of those folks!

But Green Day? Damn. I kinda liked them. They weren't great, but they were the perfect example of punk-lite. Same great punk taste with a catchy melody to boot!

I think Massachusetts politics was magnified this past year because of Kerry but more so the gay marriage issue. It was selected renegade judges who issued a law based on their beliefs and not that of the commonwealth's residents. Polls that I have seen verified that. We have a decent man as Governor, too.

The mistake this joker made was the level of his hatred, especially towards Southerners. He is just ignorant. This is America and we are free to have open dialogue -- be pro-Democrat or whatever but when you make foolish comments as in this case well then the person should be labelled a fool.

Then I guess you're not interesting in us sending McGreevy up to you? We're done with him, if you don't mind left-overs and hand-me-downs. LOL

Dear Green Day
George Bush is indeed very scary. Please protect yourselves and do not enter the US or do a concert tour while he is in office. And tell your friends to do the same.
